I recently learned this concept from a sci-fi novel: It just takes one more dimension to be the god, so 2D triumphs over 1D. 3D can see over every 2D wall (line). 4D can see all of what 3D has to offer. Well, I've got 3D (and time) on my side, so I push everything I can into the 2D universe: mapping workflows, creating lists, and thinking in print. Then I can step back and LOOK. That extra dimension doesn't solve all my problems, but it sure helps clarify gaps, holes, and contradictions. What are your productivity hacks?
