Brilliant styling and casting.........BTS (not the musical group), never looked so good! In NYC at least, I am finding for some time now, so many kids from toddlers up really are embracing fashion as a source of expression of who they are, it's wonderful (I realize part of the school "uniform" conversation is very much the antithesis of this, but public schools can rock with inclusion and self expression) My biggest frustration, when promoted from assistant buyer to buyer and had chance to select my area where I wanted to go and could make a difference, I opted for menswear. Management pushed me to toddlers and explained it needs me...(humble for sure). But when you are put in a role to make change and then some of the same management pushes you to keep things the same........well, the rest is history... Part of my view was not having to go to the ADULT end of the spectrum to create fun looks, but adjusting them for kids. But when I got to move to the 'other side" and art direct shoots, and work with brands that 'got kids"...it was just a joy to cast talent and get stylists who had vision like this but fully sized for kids. It's time to make #BACKTOSCHOOL more fun! and keep it affordable. Surely the revenue stream has great opportunity! This editorial gives a flavor of how I think some brands/retail can add some more fun to the options.......@.ZARA and @H&M are you watching?

As a hairstylist/creative director, I bring a unique perspective to editorial shoots and shows. My background in hairstyling has provided me with a deep understanding of the visual impact of hair on overall aesthetics. However, my role now extends beyond hair alone; I am responsible for conceptualizing and executing the entire creative vision of the project. For me, success in an editorial shoot hinges on several key principles: As a hairstylist/creative director * I have to make sure that everyone understands the main idea. I work closely with the team to turn our ideas into actual pictures. By making sure that every detail matches up with our main concept, everything looks great and fits together nicely in the end. Plus, picking the right team is crucial to get the job done well. * * Preparation is the foundation of a successful shoot or show. I meticulously plan every aspect, from hair concepts, make up, styling selection to coordinating with other team members. This thorough preparation minimizes setbacks and allows for seamless execution. * * Collaboration is at the core of my approach. I recognize the expertise and contributions of each team member, fostering an environment of mutual respect and creative synergy. By understanding the strengths and preferences of my colleagues, I ensure that everyone's talents are utilized to their fullest potential. * * My factory part is spontaneity. I embrace unexpected opportunities during the shoot, allowing room for experimentation and innovation. Whether it's a sudden change in lighting or an impromptu styling idea, I remain flexible and open-minded, embracing the creative journey as it unfolds. * * Recognizing that different projects demand different skill sets, I curate teams tailored to each shoot's specific requirements. By assembling a diverse group of talented individuals, I ensure that we have the expertise needed to bring any creative vision to life. * #EditorialHair * #FashionStyling * #CreativeHair Lets Connect

I've just redesigned a website for a fashion stylist at iStyleU https://istyleu.at/ and was provided with many photos—good and well-done ones. However, I often had to turn them from portrait to landscape and cut the foreground from the background, etc. I extensively used Photoshop AI Generative Fill tools. Despite the resentment many artists, including myself, have towards AI nowadays, I think we've forgotten to appreciate how cool these tools in Photoshop are. Just a few years back, I would have spent hours giving more background to a photo. These tools are truly improving the work for a graphic designer! #graphicdesign #aigenerative

The thing about being a fashion designer, is that you have to be able to convey a message purely based on an image. As each fashion month rolls around, very few, unless you are hungry for the knowledge, will take the time to deep dive into the designers creative process and decision making. Thats what makes Art one of the hardest yet purest forms of storytelling. How do you tell a story with no words. Some may deem it an impossible task.

I help women corporate professionals and entrepreneurs to dress for success at work! Refine your brand image, feel confident, and attract premium career opportunities
I had many titles in my career as a stylist - fashion stylist - celebrity stylist - image consultant - costume designer The last title was my least favorite Even though that was a title that allowed me to work on - tv shows -commercials -music videos The problem was I was dressing a character, not a person So instead of understanding my clients: - aesthetics -needs -lifestyle I had to understand a character my client was portraying So even though creating costumes was fun and creative Dressing and styling "real" women bring transformations to life before your very eyes. Something I wouldn't want to trade for anything This is when you can see the powerful effect our clothes have on our self-esteem and empowerment. #personalstyle #dressforsuccess #womanentreprenur #corporatewoman -------------------------------- I am working on something exciting that will help you transform your style/image from boring to polished, professional, and put together so that you feel confident and attract premium opportunities at work or your business. Stay tuned.... In the meantime: If you don't know how to get started and want your wardrobe to empower you at work and in your business take the personal style quiz. Link in the comments!
