The article reached 30 citations Achieved on June 10, 2024 Article: Cryogelation of Chitosan Using Noble-Metal Ions: In Situ Formation of Nanoparticles One of the purposes of the project was to develop the method of preparation of 3D macroporous #hydrogel with a structure of interconnected pores by the use of non covalent interactions. The combination of chitosan and noble metal complexes was investigated as cross-linking agents for preparation of #ionic cryogels (ICs). Furthermore, the treatment of the ICs containing gold complex by glutaraldehyde results in spontaneous formation of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and chemical cross-linking of the cryogel. The characterization of prepared macroporous materials was carried out by the use of FTIR, SEM, TEM techniques and texture analyzer. A new strategy for control of size distribution of AuNPs was suggested. The size distribution of obtained #AuNPs and their population inside of walls of cryogels were estimated. A method for quantifying unreacted #chloroauric acid in presence of acetic acid was proposed. The possibility of use of prepared #cryogels with immobilized AuNPs as a catalytic flow through reactor is shown.

We recently caught up with Professor Chaohua Cui from Soochow University to discuss his recent article, "Conjugated backbone optimization of an all-fused-ring acceptor for efficient and stable organic solar cells", and to reflect on ChemComm's 60th Anniversary! "My first research paper (first author) was published in ChemComm. I really enjoy the publication experience offered by the journal." " Our results reveal the structure–performance–stability relationship of all-fused-ring acceptors, which provides important guidelines for the further design of high-performance and stable OSCs." Thanks ResearchGate. One of my papers," Looking at Adsorption of Cellulases NS 50013 onto Avicel PH 101 and Protobind 1000 through Isotherms and Thermodynamics" has reached a milestone. The experimental results show: , i) A correlation between cellulases adsorbed and initial cellulases loading, ii) Is it a monolayer adsorption, iii) Adsorption capacities of the substrates. The changes in Gibbs free energy were obtained by using van't Hoff equation. Adsorption is the main technique in industrial applications and for purification of waters (Surface water, drinking water, wastewater) Thanks. #adsorption #purification #wastewater #drinkingwater #surfacewater #undergergroundwater#sustainability #environmrnt #pollutioncontrol

Don't miss the opportunity to attend Copper Conference (Copper 2025) - the leading conference on copper innovation and technology. From November 16-22, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, we will bring together leading industry experts, innovators and leaders to share advanced knowledge, discuss the latest trends and explore new opportunities in the copper sector. My colleagues and I are building a technical program on several process disciplines associated to copper. In particular, we are aiming to develop an attractive program with focus on pyrometallurgy touching aspects on the physical chemistry of smelting and recycling processes for nonferrous metals, processing, and on the environmental issues related to the circulation of nonferrous metals. Furthermore, we are going to discuss the technological, social, and environmental challenges that need to be addressed to realize a sustainable society in the future. I think that your research would significantly enhance our planned sessions. Organized in collaboration with TMS, MetSoc and SME, Copper 2025 offers a unique platform for professionals looking to delve into the technical and scientific advances that are shaping the future of the copper industry. Reserve your place today and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to the challenges of the future.

Generally it is assumed that complex asphaltene molecules prefer to adsorb near the rock surface, however, in our recent work we show that it is not the case, always. The adsorption is governed by contribution from core, chains and heteroatoms present along with competition provided by paraffin molecules. More details are available in the paper. https://lnkd.in/d8dbQaYQ This is second paper from hard-working, intelligent students Prashil Badwaik and Shubham Chobe.
