🌈Celebrating Pride🌈 Team Litify hosted a challenge and happy hour to celebrate #pridemonth. For each photo shared in rainbow colors, we donated $28 to The Center, which has been providing New York's LGBTQ+ community with recovery and wellness programs, economic advancement initiatives, family and youth support, advocacy, and more for the past 40 years. Why $28? In the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, police raided the Stonewall Inn, a small bar in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of NYC. The Stonewall Riots of 1969 brought about the first Pride celebration a year later in 1970, commemorating the riots, and the annual tradition was born.

Reasons We Love Working With Progressive Nonprofits #1 Because they are doing the work. When the world is on fire (figuratively and literally) and so many people are running around in circles, it’s the people working at progressive nonprofits who are doing the work to save it. We’ve met so many people through our work with nonprofits who are dedicated to issues like voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedom, climate change, disability advocacy, and so much more. Happy Pride Month! We are allies. 🌈 Here are 5 ways to celebrate Pride Month: 1. Educate yourself Learn all about the history of the LGBTQIA+ community, its history, and its challenges. 2. Donate Give back to the LGBTQIA+ community by donating to an affiliated nonprofit in your area. 3. Increase LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the workplace If your workplace does not have a culture that promotes LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, speak to your manager about ways the company can be more inclusive to this community. 4. Watch a documentary on the Stonewall Riots Learn how it all began by watching an informative documentary on the Stonewall Riots and the events that preceded and followed them, like “Stonewall Forever” or “Stonewall Uprising”. 5. As Pride Month comes to a close, we reflect on the importance of inclusivity and solidarity.🌈✨ At Ringer Sciences, we stand with the LGBTQ+ community in celebrating diversity, equality, and love. This month, we dove deeper into the #CorporatePride conversation, from how the Fortune 100 marked the occasion, with 47% of companies participating, to social media discussions of brand involvement in Pride Month celebrations. From logo changes to charitable initiatives, brands showed their support in various impactful ways. Concurrently, consumer discussions highlighted the significance of brand involvement in Pride Month celebrations, focusing on the authenticity of support, the impact of donations, and community engagement. The Equality Community Center (ECC) in Portland is the first of its kind in Maine - a collaborative workplace for LGBTQ+ and allied social justice-seeking non-profit organizations while also serving as a community center for Maine’s LGBTQ+ community. The humble journey of the Smiling Rainbow platform begins on February 19, 2019, with only one mission: SHARING PAIN MUST NOT BE EXPENSIVE. Over this period we have provided free counseling to thousands of individuals nationwide. Initially, our platform catered exclusively to members of the LGBTQ+ community. Over time, however, we began to receive inquiries and calls from individuals of various backgrounds. Based on our experience we have observed many trends in society, whereas few trends are ironic and on the other hand few are disturbing. In an attempt to spread awareness, we are going to share many such information in our #NoMotivationOnlyInformation campaign. The purpose of that series is simply to spread information in society instead of motivation. No one desires to succumb to depression. When individuals find themselves immersed in the depths of despair, all they seek is steadfast support to prevent them from sinking. We aspire to be that unwavering support, by offering a new, comprehensive platform that provides free or affordable counseling for all without discrimination. We did our best for years to ensure #FreeCounselingServiceForAll. Finally, we had to stop our free counseling service from August 2023 onwards due to a funding constraint. June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate diversity, and inclusivity, as well as highlight the ongoing fight for equal rights and opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community. We are proud to stand with and support the incredible work of Mermaids, a charity close to our hearts. Mermaids is dedicated to supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse children, young people, and their families. We believe that embracing and empowering all members of the trans community is crucial for any organisation, regardless of the industry. This is why we are honoured to fund Mermaids’ local group activities, which create a safe space to celebrate and uplift the community. Jo and the Thornicroft family have felt the benefit of the amazing work of this charity first-hand. The care they have provided, and their unwavering support have been a huge help and immeasurable comfort in such a turbulent and troubled time. Did you know that Reach is the single largest source of trustees to the voluntary sector? 📊 In 2023, charities appointed 1,539 trustees through our service – including 67 chairs, 150 treasurers, 58 trustees with experience in income generation, 47 with an HR background and 25 ‘digital’ trustees. 💪 Not only did these trustees bring essential expertise to the boards they joined – they also brought much needed diversity. 🙌 Reach applicants were more likely than the general UK population to identify as LGBTQ+ or as coming from a global majority community. 🌈 They were also far more diverse in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality and disability than trustees as a whole.
