GenAI in Learning... This last week, I have a had a fair bit of conceptualization work to cover.  I found some interesting ways to incorporate #GenAI into my work. Here's how – # Training Needs Elaboration – I had to understand the #trainingneeds for a particular complicated competency in Regulatory. But with my limited understanding, it was rather challenging to formulate the right set of questions and prompts to craft the learning objectives.   I used GenAI to formulate specific questions for the competency, combined with the principles of action mapping principles. It did help me big time and I am getting closer to developing writing the learning objectives. # Competency Guide for Hiring – I had to quickly design a competency based hiring guide for Plant Managers to hire entry level talent. I used GenAI to develop specific #behavioralindicators for the targeted competencies for our business, and different sets of questions for campus hires and candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience. # Case studies for Post Program – We recently launched a behavioral program and I was keen on having a post program journey with #gamification for better adoption. I used GenAI to create customized micro-practice activities, aligned to our business and the targeted competencies. # Talent actions – I had to conceptualize possible actions, aligned to the needs that have emerged from talent reviews. After identifying possible actions for each talent cohort, I used GenAI to suggest more examples for me. I found some of them to be useful and included them. But here’s the most important thing! One cannot just give a single prompt and then copy stuff from GenAI! These are some best practices that I like to keep in mind - - Never share confidential information with GenAI platform, unless expressly allowed by your organization. - Speak to the GenAI tool like you would have a conversation, don’t go with the first response, refine using further prompts, adding nuances from your context. - Constantly check if the output is relevant to your context, the tone, use of language, names etc. Refine using prompts. - Check for accuracy and biases in the data. #GenAI #learningexperiencedesign

Jeff McMillan, I like your list. It's time to get going on 9. The first compliance date for the EU AI Act #EUAIAct is February 2025. Like #GDPR, companies doing business in the EU must comply (no matter where their principal location is). The EU AI Act requirements will require broad-based organizational changes.
