In their winter magazine edition, Specialty Food Association is giving us a preview of the top trends of 2024. Some of these expected trends include, cell based meat and seafood, unique flavors and ingredients such as peach, calabrian chili peppers, black sesame, ube and the use of tahini. However, one of the biggest trends expected is a flurry of activity and new products in the beverage space. We are excited that beverage sales are up and innovation is expected in the non-alcoholic fizzy and non-fizzy spaces as well as coffees, teas and broths.
This news made us think, what companies have recently launched some of these on-trend products and who should we watch in 2024.
In the single serve beverage space we are excited about soda makers poppi and OLIPOP PBC, whose single serve cans include prebiotics, low sugar and clean ingredients. Mocktail Club is already using herb flavors and their Bombay Fire mocktail includes on-trend ingredients such as tea and chili peppers. Last but certainly not least is HOP WTR whose non-alcoholic brews already come in a variety of flavors including peach.
