It is so important to get more diverse voices into nonprofit work. Historically, nonprofit boards haven’t been representative of the communities being served by the organization. Queerlective wants to change that. This workshop serves to provide education for all(especially those that have not considered nonprofit work) on the expectations of nonprofit boards and how their decisions effect organizations. We want to build a shared knowledge base within our communities that will empower individuals to share their voices, enact change and organize within their communities. Also you’ll get some insight into how Queerlective is approaching this challenge and ensuring that equity and community engagement are at the core of every decision we make.
