For Minnesota Timberwolves Director of Nutrition Jenna Stangland, MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN, CLT, the success of her days rests on the foundation—a 5 AM wakeup to ensure she has time to lay the groundwork for her own performance before spending the rest of the day tending to the team. “Majority of my day is taking care of the team, and that’s why it’s super important for me to get up at 5 AM, because that’s when I get to do my self care routine.” Catch her full morning routine here.

1 out of 11 million Did anyone watch the National Spelling Bee this week? 🐝🐝🐝 Apparently, officials go around to schools all around the country and other English speaking counties. 229 eventually got chosen this year to compete on stage. Yes, these kids are smart. They taught themselves certain prefixes and suffixes, origins of certain words, etc. The spelling is obviously impressive, but I saw a lot more. More attributes that I was more amazed by. ⏩dedication ⏩dealing with stress/pressure ⏩learning how to lose (even the winner had to be ready for that) And that's just the beginning. They looked like little adults on stage by the way that they handle themselves. A little reminder in the work world too. People may not remember that you know how to spell "x", but they will remember how you acted during your journey. ---------------------------------------------------- Hi I'm Kim Company President of Nutrition Remedy RDs | Staffing Services My team and I 💜 providing the best nutrition care for your communities. ⏩ expert nutrition professionals (Registered Dietitians, Executive Chefs, Certified Dietary Managers/Food Service Directors, Registered Dietetic Technicians) ⏩ all 50 states ⏩ personalized services for your specific facility #healthcare #education #university #longtermcare #seniorliving #hospitals #nutrition #staffing

Elevate Your Health -Live Well, Eat Well and Travel Well | MS, CNS, LDN | Author | Host of "Authentic Italy" Excursions | Master of Clinical Nutrition
I couldn’t believe what happened after publishing this month’s “Longevity Tips!” John Bejakovic, creative newsletter publisher, gave me a shout out in his newsletter! Here’s what he wrote. Every so often I recommend other high-quality, like-minded newsletters that might be of interest to you. One such newsletter is Carol Amendola D'Anca's Longevity Tips. Carol is a board-certified nutritionist. She shares her nutrition knowledge online, but she also does one better. For years now, she has been organizing trips of longevity-minded people to villages in the south of Italy — one of those areas where people live very long and healthy lives. Every month, Carol sends an email newsletter with a single, practical longevity tip, based on her years of travel and study. I've read a few issues so far, and I've learned new and interesting stuff. His unexpected words of kindness blindsided me, providing just the motivation I needed to push myself even further. If you'd like to receive "Longevity Tips" and get one actionable, easy to do tip each month DM me and I'll send the link. LinkedIn hasn't been kind when I put links in my posts lately, so I'll have to use DMs. #longevity #longevitylifestyle #testimonial

Communications Mgr British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine I Cancer Nutrition & Metabolic Health I PSA- Accredited Nutrition Practitioner I Consultant | Event Speaker I Passionate about Food for Health
Last Wednesday I tuned into a ShareAction webinar asking Nestlé - the worlds largest food company - to increase their sales of 'healthier' foods and reduce its reliance on unhealthy food sales - which currently account for an estimated 54% (Nestle disclosure, including coffee sales) to 70% of their portfolio (Global data from 7 markets). The investor coalition is working with manufactures and retailers asking for greater transparency and future targets to include: - report proportion of sales coming from healthier products - use a government-supported definition of 'healthy' - set targets to shift sales toward healthier options This builds on similar themes presented in the Henry Dimbleby #NationalFoodStrategy plan which called for mandatory reporting by food companies to level the playing field, protect competition and above all to legislate towards healthier targets and reduced waste. Take a look at Ali Morpeth (RNutr) and Katharine Jenner as they explain why this is so important in the video below. #wearewhatweeat #weeatwhatisavailable #makehealthyfoodsavailable #foodforyourhealth #diet #wholefood #personalisednutrition #lifestylemedicine #healthyfood #healthyfoodforeveryone #ourhealth #foodmanufacturers #foodsystems
We’re all trying to eat and live healthier lives, but this is made difficult when the places we shop, work and live are flooded with unhealthy foods. As the world’s largest food manufacturer, Nestlé has a pivotal role to play in shaping public health. Right now, its approach isn’t good enough. It is reliant on unhealthy foods to make up the majority of their global sales. Along with investors and shareholders, we’re asking Nestlé to increase the sales of healthier foods and reduce its reliance on unhealthy food sales at its annual general meeting (AGM) later this month. Hear from Katharine Jenner of the Obesity Health Alliance and registered health nutritionist Ali Morpeth (RNutr) on why they are supporting our challenge to Nestlé to improve its impact on public health⬇
