I help organizations attract, retain, and maximize Gen Z talent | Women's Leadership Coach | Speaker
"If you want to go far, go together." This African proverb echoes the power of community. I've witnessed the transformative impact of supportive communities on their success. Here are three compelling reasons why being part of such a community can drive women leaders toward greater heights: 1️⃣ Empowering Networks: These communities offer mentorship, opportunities, and a platform to share experiences, fostering growth and resilience. 2️⃣ Enhanced Visibility: Participation amplifies recognition, opening doors to collaborations and increased visibility. 3️⃣ Resourceful Learning: They serve as knowledge hubs, providing tailored resources and skill-building sessions. Organizations play a pivotal role in nurturing and sustaining these supportive communities: ✨ Cultivate Inclusive Spaces: Foster a culture where diverse voices are heard, valued, and celebrated. Provide platforms and forums that encourage collaboration and mutual support among women leaders. ✨ Invest in Development: Allocate resources for programs specifically designed to empower women leaders, including mentorship initiatives, leadership training, and networking events. ✨ Advocate and Recognize: Champion the achievements of women leaders within and outside the organization. Advocate for their visibility and ensure their contributions are duly recognized and celebrated. Empowerment doesn’t happen in isolation—it thrives within communities that uplift and support each other. Let’s build and sustain these communities within our organizations, ensuring every woman leader has the resources and network she needs to succeed.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the International Leadership Summit Roundtable Hosted By : T.D. Jakes Foundation and United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Wally Adeyemo! 🌟Powerful Reflection from Today’s Discussion 🌟 Today’s conversation was nothing short of transformative, brimming with insights aimed at one vital question: “What can the US Treasury do to make a more profound impact on the black and brown community?” In our exchange, we delved into the heart of the matter, recognizing the pressing need for action and change. We explored avenues for the US Treasury to not just engage but truly uplift and empower communities of color. From equitable access to financial resources to fostering economic empowerment and dismantling systemic barriers, each idea shared held the promise of transformation. Together, let us forge a path towards a future where equity, opportunity, and prosperity are not just ideals but lived realities for all. Today’s conversation was just the beginning – let’s turn these insights into action and create lasting change. #Equity #Inclusion #CommunityImpact #USFinance 🌟🌎

It is with great interest and open minds that we're reading the 'Action Plan For Survivor Leadership in the Next Decade' developed by Survivor Alliance, after listening to an important conversation yesterday at the launch event. Survivor leadership is an aspiration that should be central to all work to address modern slavery and human trafficking, and research is no different. We are at the start of the journey from tokenistic inclusion to survivor leadership, with meaningful inclusion as part of the trip. But survivor leadership is the right aspiration not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also because it is essential for improving policies addressing modern slavery and informing them with real experience of people who have been through it. Read the plan on the Survivor Alliance website: https://lnkd.in/dPeBuVKr

Since we’re turning to pride month, let’s talk about the difference between equality and equity. Because it is often confused and used interchangeably, yet these two concepts have a firm difference. In the words of Paycom DEI Sr Manager AJ Dronkers (he/him/his) … Equality is “everybody gets shoes”. EQUITY is “everybody gets shoes IN THEIR SIZE.” This concept/topic comes up in almost EVERY leadership development course I facilitate. How are you demonstrating and incorporating DEI into your facilitation?
