✨Meet Ashley Guo, the founder and inspiration behind ReCat The idea for ReCat came from hearing real-life stories about the challenges couples face, especially when distance is involved. One story that stood out was about a couple who had to transition to a long-distance relationship shortly after they started dating. While they enjoyed great times together in person, the distance made it hard to maintain their bond. They found that texting couldn’t capture the same emotional depth they shared in-person. This got Ashley thinking about how many other couples must be facing similar struggles. She wanted to create a way for couples to feel closer, even when apart. That’s how ReCat was born. Starting with the simple idea of encouraging regular expressions of appreciation, the team added a fun twist: a shared virtual cat. This shared goal helps couples build a stronger bond naturally. With ReCat, building a deeper relationship becomes enjoyable and engaging. Her hope is that ReCat will help couples stay connected and deeply bonded, despite the challenges life may bring. #ReCat #FounderStory #RelationshipGoals #LongDistanceLove #CouplesApp #StayConnected #InnovativeTech #LoveStronger

Immersive, Energising and Inspiring ... That's my 'What 3 Words' sum-up for the recent on-line workshops with the wonderful people at Homeless Link, exploring the foundations of successful projects through a mix of discussion, group tasks, reviewing and reaching conclusions. Their vision is to help England become a country free from homelessness... WOW! What an inspiring ambition. Every day the teams at Homeless Link work to bring about positive transformation for individuals and communities. It was humbling and life affirming for me to spend the day with people who make such a positive difference to individuals, communities and society at large through the vital and mostly unseen work that they do. Here's my conclusion: yet again I am deeply moved and blown away by what people do to make a positive difference to the lives of others, and how much they care. I'm also reminded how experience and skill resides in individuals and teams; and how often people don't appropriately value their contribution and the difference they make. What can you do to help those around you recognise the positive difference they make? For over 60 years Coverdale has been helping organisations develop individuals and teams, harnessing a Systematic Approach to getting things done and making their vision a reality. If you are looking for a partner to journey with in realising your organisation's vision, do get in touch. coverdale.co.uk

What a great #SF24WatchParty this was! Thank you all for coming, discussing, Julia Mines, PCC-level coach for picking a great bit from the recording of Ayse Adil's session - if you missed this, you can still see the original recording from the #SF24conference here: https://lnkd.in/djjMTTZN Some remarks from the WatchParty from Ayse: 👩🏫 „They will tell us how slow or fast we can go if we listen" 👩🏫 "For me improvisation and Humour is really important." 👩🏫 „Clients want to come back cos’ it’s a relieve, that they can laugh and have a normal human conversation with a therapist“ Some of the insights from the WatchParty (thank you Paul Z Jackson for taking some notes): 💡 Since the first 15 minutes of talking "didn't work", the therapist did something different - giving questions in scilence. 💡 It's a manifestation of 'radical acceptance' 💡 The answers are for the clients, not for the therapist. So silent answers are fine. 💡 Without being explicit about it, they had room in each of their stories/images/preferences for those of the others. So the interactions turned out much better. 💡 The improvisation of 'being in the moment' shines through from that session - especially in the critical pivot. Noticing what was happening, and making a new choice to something more useful. Ready to do so. 💡 The humour took the heat out of the situation and helped clients to re-focus 💡 Psychological safety See you at the next WatchParty September 5th with Jonas Wells

With every conversation with our Pals (seniors who trust UnlockLife to be their concierge and social hub), we are witnessing massive breakdowns of stereotypes. We are learning to re-learn. We are experiencing what it truly means to be unbiased, to be inclusive. A quote that stuck with us - by Dr Sandeep Shah, a geriatric psychiatrist, and our GoodSoul (more on GoodSouls another time) - is “Baatein gira deti hai deewareein” Literal translation: Words can break down walls. Meaning: Just talking to someone has the power to break barriers. It can make a significant difference. In a fast moving world where not many have the time to spend with seniors, at UnlockLife we believe in the power of safe social opportunities that bring out the best in people. With that gem of a nugget, we are excited to debut our blog GoodTalks. The first post talks about being blissfully ageless, more so with increasing candles on the birthday cake. Do check it out and tell us what you think. https://shorturl.at/mwyH5

On this R U OK? Day, the ONRSR team is getting right behind this important campaign by promoting this year's message that asking the question on ANY day can make a real impact for someone - a colleague, family member or friend - who might look like they're struggling. Three simple words that might lead to a conversation that could change a life. You don’t need to be an expert to ask someone, ‘Are you OK?’ Simply being prepared to have a conversation and check in from time to time, they'll know you care. #RUOKDay #PsychologicalSafety #WorkplaceCulture

Kelli, a member of Groups, said about our program: "My life was complete and utter chaos. It was a nonstop whirlwind of itching, searching, finding, being sick, getting up and doing it all over again. And then I found Groups. I walked into those doors and that was the day my life changed. I found a support system that I never dreamed existed." If you want to learn more about Groups' amazing outcomes, check out our 2023 Annual Outcomes report: https://lnkd.in/dJ4im2NJ
