The Forest of Hope program helps raise awareness about suicide prevention and promotes healing for those impacted by suicide loss, while contributing to a healthy and sustainable forest. Every year, with the assistance of partners and volunteers, the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention selects a new location in Canada to plant trees in honour of loved ones who have died by suicide or in the name of hope. On October 22, 2022, the first Forest of Hope in Canada was planted in Ontario. The second Forest of Hope was planted on October 21, 2023 in Potlotek, Nova Scotia. With amazing support from the City of Winnipeg and leadership from the Winnipeg Suicide Prevention Network, a third forest will be planted on September 10, 2024 at Whittier Park, near the site of Fort Gibraltar and home of Festival du Voyageur. The event will also recognize World Suicide Prevention Day. You can find more information and RSVP your attendance by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/grikEpHC https://lnkd.in/guZN8riC
