Such a great day spent at Lectra’s #Ideation a few months ago. Technology alone is not the answer. ➡️ First the process must be innovated to solve for challenges like overdevelopment and overassorting. ➡️ Disrupting silos to rethink how they go to market and why it takes so long. Drive collaboration across functions and implement a materials first mindset. ➡️ Implement technologies that will drive efficiency across product creation and merchandising. Make time and space for innovation. Thanks for having me Ketty Pillet and Aimee Chanin Heuschkel. #retail ##merchandising #stores #planning #productcreation #innovation

I have worked in product development for a small knitwear manufacturer and remember always fighting with time. A lot of prototypes and samples produced and that never “made it”. I worked in Italy for a few years and the industry is a network of small and medium businesses that produce for mid and high end brands. I am curious to learn more about these new approaches and technologies but what I am also curious about is to understand if it’s something that is mostly initiated by the big brands commissioning the garment production to third party manufacturers or if these new processes can be implemented directly from these small companies that produce the garments for the big brands..
