Accounting roles are evolving as client needs change. Ask 10 of your friends, and most will assume that an accountant is a number cruncher and focuses on compliance issues. And, to some degree, these people are correct. (From CPA Trendlines)

Yesterday I had a great call with an accountant looking to start their accounting firm. They knew who they wanted to work with but were stuck on a few things. They didn't know how to justify a higher price compared to their competition. I immediately helped them work on their offer to make it value based as a result they now don't have to compete on priced. They didn't know how to attract new clients into their pipeline. After a few small pointers and suggestions on what to focus on, They now have complete clarity on what their offer is and how to attract the client they want. For all accountants struggling, it doesn't need to be that way. An accounting firm is still one of the best businesses to run if you want to earn a great living and create freedom in your life. There a few slots left for my complimentary strategy calls, book yours now using the link in the comments.

For accountants, stop giving free advice Here are 5 reasons why: 1. It devalues your services. When clients get used to receiving your expert input without paying for it, they'll be less likely to invest in your higher-value advisory packages down the line. 2. It leads to scope creep. The more free advice you give, the more clients will come to expect it. Before you know it, you'll be doing far more work than you're getting paid for. 3. It prevents you from scaling. If you're constantly giving away your time for free, you'll have less capacity to onboard new clients and grow your firm. 4. It limits your profitability. Every hour spent on unpaid advisory work is an hour you could have spent on billable, high-margin activities. 5. It damages your brand. Giving away expertise for free can make your firm appear more unprofessional than competitors who charge their worth. Instead, do this: Offer a free consultation, but keep it brief. Be confident in charging what you're worth. Create tiered pricing for different advisory levels. Communicate the value of your paid services clearly. Set well-defined boundaries with clients from the start. The reality is, you're an accounting expert. Your time and advice are valuable. So, start treating it that way.
