Really excited for South Downtown! Much needed and unique opportunity for the entire region for place with character, history and bright future. Great job pulling that together!
Also, I gotta know where you got that Spiller Park Downtown shirt. Need that as a downtown guy and native Atlantan.
So much #atlantahistory on that block of Mitchell Street - and the buildings still remain! And a reminder of home seeing that Hillerich & Bradsby Co. #louisvilleslugger bat in your hand Lawrence Gellerstedt.
David Brown (the 2-time American World Record Holder known as “the fastest completely blind athlete in history,”) and his guide, Jerome Avery (his role is to keep David in the lane) are known as “Team BrAvery.” They epitomize the meanin' and value of bein' awarded...trust. Have you earned that badge of honor...if not / why not / what's your dang hold-up?
In 1999, James Jones took over a Yale team that hadn't been to the NCAA Tournament since the '60s.
He's now led the Bulldogs to March Madness four times in the past eight years and just beat 4-seed Auburn—Yale's biggest tournament win ever.
"He built this program brick by brick."

Another great weekend of Game 7s, photo finishes and first time winners. Congrats to Lando Norris for his first ever F1 win and McLaren Racing for their first victory since 2012.
And speaking of winners, let's nominate this week's winners of the Nice Guy and Gal Awards.
Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals).
If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST on Thursday.
There are only 3 requirements:
1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate
2) you can only nominate one person per week
3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀
If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement.
Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice.
Have a great day, everyone.

Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest athletes to ever live. But what’s even more impressive is how he was able to hold himself to such a high standard in everything he did...

Good News Friday is here! Now, whether you are a basketball fan or not, an Oakland University fan or not, last night was an absolute lesson in how one identifies where they are and sees the Dream where they want to go as Oakland upset Kentucky in the NCAA tournament, a 14 seed beating a 3 seed and powerhouse. The article I am reposting from Front Office Sports provides an insight to an individual who was a redshirt freshman at an DII school but whose dream was to be on the court with the best. If you follow basketball, this is a Dream, and one that takes what I hope every leader is willing to admit they need:
🌄 Willing to dream - Let lose, dream at work and dream at home, be willing to do it! You did it as a kid, you can do it again! Remember your dreams as a kid, you wanted to be the best at a certain sport, hobby, whatever it was and you would do everything to make it happen. Some of our best inventions and leaders have been those that dared to dream. People love to get behind a Dream!
🗣 Others - This individual, Jack Gohlke, needed coaches, trainers, his teammates, and many others at the university to be successful. Are you willing to let others help you be successful?
👷♂️ Hard Work - There will never be a substitute for this, and I am not talking about being so consumed that you don't have time for your family, others, or have horrible balance. But when you are in the arena, when you are in practice, when you are at work, you are giving your best, because you know the dream is worth it.
Allowing yourself to dream, allowing others to help, working hard, are three great ways to see your life, both professional and personal, go to the next level! Have a powerful day and you have what it takes!

President and Co-CEO of FC Cincinnati Jeff Berding never intended to become a football-turned-soccer guy, let alone establish a pro hometown team, which required building a new stadium in just four months. What can Jack Gohlke and the Oakland Grizzlies teach us about business? 👀
Listening to the post game interview last night…something caught my ear about this game…💥EXPERIENCE💥
Experience wins games…not talent that comes with blue chip, 5 star, legacy recruits.
Kentucky is loaded with NBA talent, but they bolt for millions after year 1….coining the term “One and Done”. Average age of 19 yearly = NO EXPERIENCE ❌
Not OAKLAND!!! They’re a team of gritty ballers who are older…not NBA bound. Average age of 22 yearly = EXPERIENCE (Jack Gohlke 24)✅
To stay ahead in business you have stay hungry…
Hunger =💥EXPERIENCE💥
The business world isn’t fair…you’ll always be facing a competitor who has a bigger budget, larger staff, better “resume” talent, etc…😩
Want to win?
HIT THE BUSINESS GYM daily with training, industry knowledge, new tech stack, books, podcasts, etc… STAY HUNGRY
Don’t be a Cinderella👊
