Mark Tipping, LR's Global Power to X Director, recently spoke to Riviera Maritime Media Ltd about the role that nuclear power could play in helping the maritime industry meet its greenhouse gas reduction ambitions. “The level of ambition that maritime has to create a low- or zero-fuel bunkers network is remarkable, but the fact remains that there will not be enough alternative fuels to go around, at least in the medium term (2035). Many operators, especially ships owned by smaller companies that don’t have the resources to augment their own fuel supply chains, will be left out in the cold. In many ways, you could say that nuclear will enable a more equitable low-carbon future.” Read more: https://loom.ly/9zQ9QyI #Nuclear #Maritime #EnergyTransition

Permian producers have ramped up efforts in recent years to electrify their oil and gas operations amid rising fuel costs and increased pressure to clean up their environmental footprints. But the task has proved difficult in the more remote parts of the basin, where grid infrastructure is either sparse or nonexistent. Could nuclear provide an alternative? #electrification #oilandgas #ESG #power #nuclear #permian

What an impressive achievement from our #nuclear fleet 📣 Since EDF began investing in the UK's nuclear power stations in 2009 they have been able to generate 212TWh more zero-carbon electricity than initially forecast 🎉 To put that in perspective, that’s enough to power all UK homes continuously for 2 years and save 76 million tonnes of carbon from entering the atmosphere compared to gas-fired power! Here's to the next generation of nuclear power stations at Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C! https://ow.ly/6PqY30sz3MH

Executive Chairman William Sheriff speaks on why nuclear energy is vital to the U.S.’ environmental health, providing 50% of the U.S.’ carbon-free energy, while simultaneously being one of the safest power sources there is. 👏 The safety in the industry is parallel to working in the solar industry and is among the very lowest safety incidents in the world. Nuclear energy is also "head and shoulders above any of the carbon producing fossil fuels that are currently being used" in terms of environmental health and carbon emissions. 🤠 To learn more about enCore Energy, click here: encoreuranium.com #uranium #nuclearenergy #GoNuclear #cleanenergy #EU #energy #nuclear #stocks #nuclearpower #investor #invest #nasdaq #mining #carbonfree

We welcome the inclusion of #nuclear and its fuel cycle technologies in the Net-Zero Industry Act under this provisional deal. The wide-ranging #NZIA will help to decarbonise #EU industry and this facilitates nuclear as one of the solutions to reaching #netzero. https://bit.ly/3SwfOLl

What is wrong with Chris Bowen ? He is either: - too lazy to find another way to attack the Nuclear clean energy option - too stupid to do his own research and realise why the whole world is switching to nuclear - to invested to switch to nuclear to keep his kickbacks from "renewables" Australians deserve so much better than someone who is worried about their global reputation. We deserve someone who is invested in Australia's interests and serves Australians. By the way it's been 747 days since Australians were promised $275 off their electricity bills, and since then prices have risen by over 25%. It's his portfolio and he is failing at it. #auspol #energy #nuclear #australia #renewables #energycrisis
