This year marked $1 billion in total funds raised by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Earlier this week we were able to hear a few of the stories of lives who were saved because of the treatments made possible by the medical research and breakthroughs funded by the LLS. We can't help everyone all of the time. But, we can help some people, some of the time.  You can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone. As part of the BD team, I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with FlowJo users who analyze data from the BD S8 Cytometer. The instrument's ability to combine flow cytometry with imaging has been a game-changer, allowing for a deeper understanding of cellular populations. 📊 My role involves helping users apply advanced machine learning techniques to identify specific cells from the images produced by the S8 sorter instrument. Leveraging the power of ML and image-based data has provided researchers with valuable insights that were previously hard to achieve with flow cytometry alone. 🧬🔬 To further support an important cause, I'm participating in an initiative where I can help raise $100 towards leukemia research. Every bit counts, and I’m proud to be part of a company driving innovation in health and supporting critical research in diseases like leukemia. ....And $15 million is dedicated to clinical research in pancreatic cancer led by City of Hope and providing additional investment for the Toni Stephenson Lymphoma Center, which was created from a $10 million donation from the Stephensons in 2014.
