💉 CAR T-cell: Revolutionizing Blood Cancer Therapy 💉 We're excited to share our latest blog post on the revolutionary CAR T-cell therapy, detailing how it is transforming the treatment of certain blood cancers such as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas (NHL), and Multiple Myeloma. The initial clinical remission rates are as high as 90%, showcasing the impressive success of this therapy. However, the complex and time-consuming process limits its availability to a small number of patients. A fully automated process could safely treat many more patients, and we are working with leading companies to find suitable solutions. ALLG HD10 trial leader, Professor Mark Hertzberg recently discussed the significant results of ALLG’s HD10 trial with Dr Norman Swan on ABC Radio’s Health Report - you can hear the full discussion at https://lnkd.in/gqhTyK7j. The results of the international HD10 trial, in collaboration with the German Hodgkin Study Group (GHSG), showed superior results for younger patients with Hodgkin lymphoma through the delivery of less toxic, more targeted drugs that had fewer side effects and fewer treatment cycles for patients, and also preserved patient fertility. The HD10 trial results will set a new standard for treating this type of Hodgkin lymphoma globally. ALLG continues to accelerate clinical trial research, partnering with leading international cooperative groups to bring new and better blood cancer treatments to patients across Australia and New Zealand. On January 12, 2024, the FDA approved Keytruda (pembrolizumab) with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) for patients with FIGO 2014 Stage III-IVA cervical cancer. Keytruda Updates Prescribing Information https://lnkd.in/eCSF3f29 The recommended dosing regimen for pembrolizumab is 200 mg IV every 3 weeks or 400 mg IV every 6 weeks until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or for up to 24 months.
