Being responsible for a community/portfolio, I liken to caring for my garden. It has to be physically sound, with the right soil, fencing (foundation, structure and curb appeal). It has to have the right amounts of light and water (resources and support). There is a season for pruning (cutting back, evaluation, maintenance). Weeds have to go! Gardens must be supported with care & love (fiscal responsibility, healthy communication with associates and residents) and it WILL reap a harvest, increased NOI! Seeds planted in the right conditions and cared for properly grow. Properties properly supported and maintained, grow. There may be seasons (life, conditions) where the harvest is not as plentiful (conditions outside of our control) but we roll up our sleeves and keep doing what works and what works will work!
