🎉 Celebrating a Milestone! 🎉 We are thrilled to celebrate Peter Hanzel‘s 20th anniversary with in our company! Over the past two decades, his dedication, expertise, and commitment have been crutial in our success. Thank you, Peter, for your remarkable contributions and unwavering loyalty. We are sure we have a lot of achievements and growth still together in front of us! Curious to know why Peter stayed with us for 20 years? Here is his answer😊 I can summarize it in 3 reasons - ordered by priority - 1. the team, 2. non-monotonous work, 3. option to choose my own path. The team makes you feel at work like on a friend event. Of course there are ups and downs, but even in downs team was there to help to get out of the ... it. [😉] The work was always interesting, sometimes more challenging, sometimes more annoying and of course sometimes a little monotonous as at any other work. What also helped a lot that most of my team leads have aIways acted as one of us. I started as a developer, changed to a consultant, then become a consulting manager to end up on a position of a product manager mainly of SNP DTS and CB Shell Creator. ...a campfire/beer stories could be told [🙂] #Anniversary #Milestone #Teamwork

Great example of how a team works as a single unit over a fairly long time frame. while they're celebrating 3rd anniversary in a new avatar, I have seen them working together as far as my memory serves - more than 10 years for sure. So, what's the mantra to stick together as a team for over a decade 1. Complete autonomy and sense of ownership. Decision making including very strategic ones such as partner selection is done with everyone agreeing to the same. 2. Total transparency - everyone knows everything about the company including access to the CEO's email ( not advocating this as a best practice though 🤣), but nothing can be a greater example of transparency 3. Direct and no nonsense communication style including arguments 4. Complete flexibility in working hours. Family priorities come first for everyone and other team members support the person who needs time away automatically. These are few of my impressions as an outside observer who has seen this team through ups and downs.

We celebrate Terje Dyrseth: 48 years at Brunvoll! 🎉 We mark the end of an era as Terje Dyrseth retires after nearly five decades at Brunvoll. Terje has been a key figure in the company's success story, an invaluable resource, and an inspiration to us all. ❓ How did your career at Brunvoll actually start, Terje? Why did you choose Brunvoll back then? 👨🏻🔧 What happened was that I married a girl from Molde while I was in the Navy and living in Bergen. In 1975, I was working on training technical personnel on submarines, a job I enjoyed very much. We visited Molde to celebrate May 17th in 1975 and met Ottar Brunvoll by chance. He asked me if I wanted to move to Molde and work with him, and when I said no, he spent the entire summer persuading me until he got his way. I started as a sales engineer that fall. ❓ What are the highlights of your nearly 50 years at Brunvoll? 👨🏻🔧 It's impossible to single out highlights because there have been so many. However, I especially remember my significant projects as a sales manager, which set the standard for future assignments in segments like marine vessels and cruise ships. In 1997, when I was marketing manager, one of our sales engineers sold the idea of a retractable tunnel thruster to Statoil Shipping, which we didn't really know how to make, and then he came to me afterwards to ask how we should solve that puzzle. Together with skilled engineers, we figured it out! There has always been an optimistic innovation attitude with us – we've never done it before, so we can surely manage it, a bit of a Pippi Longstocking attitude. Moving the Brunvoll factory from downtown Molde to the new buildings at Årø and the construction of the Brunvoll quarter has also been very fun. These construction projects have created some Brunvoll footprints in Molde that I'm very proud to have participated in. ❓ If you look into the crystal ball, what do you think Brunvoll can expect in future years? 👨🏻🔧 It's tough to predict, but we know what we're doing, and everything has been done right so far. Focusing on dynamic positioning and automation will be incredibly important for us moving forward. The Brunvoll ship is a real armoured ship, and we have good steering speed ahead. As long as there are ships, the world will need propellers. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement, Terje 💙 👏 #retirepent #PeopleofBrunvoll #Legacy #Marineindustry
