Shares of Honasa Consumer Ltd, the parent entity of D2C unicorn Mamaearth, jumped 20% during the intraday trading on Thursday (November 23) to touch the upper band and a record high at INR 422.5 on the BSE following the company’s Q2 FY24 earnings announcement. COVID killed his company, but not his ambitions and resilience. 🙌 Brij Bhushan sat down and shared his most honest perspective on starting up. Brij's journey mirrors that of a typical Indian kid, adhering to the conventional formula of engineering + MBA + a corporate job = success. 🔎However, Brij identified an error in this formula and contemplated quitting his high-paying job to initiate one of the unique startups in the country, named 'Magicpin.' magicpin was co-founded by Anshoo Sharma and Brij Bhushan in 2015. Both co-founders were previously associated with Lightspeed India and Nexus Venture Partners, respectively, before embarking on the Magicpin venture. Last Tuesday, we had the first official session of Insurjo '24 by The Product Folks. Aditya Mohanty and Suhas Motwani skillfully anchored the session, as is their custom. The featured speaker for the day was Rishi Bhargava, the Co-founder of Descope. He talked about "How to master PM in both Startups and Big Companies." What made this session special was that Rishi used real-life examples that were easy to understand. His thoughts were deep and eye-opening. Just a small update from Anaika, I thought I should share it here. While we were primarily focused on tier-1 cities, surprisingly a bunch of inbound requests started coming in from tier 2 & tier 3 cities and some small towns. We were able to convert them and what I see is a lot more enthusiasm in them to source from a small startup like Anaika. Also the problem-solving for a better distribution channel to serve them is helping us think in directions we never thought we would when we started Anaika. I feel if we manifest and align ourselves to our goals, the goals also start seeking us. #startupstories #anaika #onwardandupward #beinganentrepreneur #growthmindset
