Need help getting ready for your next PFA or just want to improve your overall health & fitness? The Navy Operational Fitness and Fueling System (NOFFS) project provides the Navy with a physical fitness and nutrition performance resource that provides guidance to Sailors and Navy health and fitness professionals. NOFFS is a great resource on how to train effectively and safely, and how to make healthy nutrition choices in both shore-based and operational environments. #FitnessFriday Learn more, here: https://lnkd.in/eBgXXEYh

Stop posting PT articles when the Navy clearly doesn’t care about fitness nor standards. This is all “fluff”.

I took a look at the program, specifically the nutrition/meal builder. For the losing weight goal, the meal builder is extremely inaccurate. Something is very wrong with it. I was able to make an "approved" day of meals where I ate nothing but 14 servings of sweet potato, 9 servings of butter, 9 whole bananas, and 8 servings of peanut butter. And it was all good apparently! It suggested 2800 calories A DAY for a 200lbs man to LOSE weight. What?? I love the idea of this tool, but it needs some SERIOUS reworking or people might really be led astray and damage their health.

The Navy wasn't this "Purdy" in the 80's when I served 🤔

Navy boot camp was more boring than it was difficult

I wonder how long a US Navy Seal can plank?
