Based on a discussion paper on the role of LNG, public and private participants discussed that LNG-fired power generation in supplementing intermittency of variable renewable energy, meeting the growing demand for energy in Asia and Afirica and other countries and contributing to emission reductions by switching from coal, and that the the potential of LNG value chain to be decarbonized at the LNGPCC.
