Was the increase in real infation adjusted dollar amounts If not, it is misleading Real inflation is running much higher than the official numbers.. So Top line sales numbers look good.. But that can be very misleading When customers are buying Groceries etc at 2-3 times the price of a few years ago and the amounts they get (shrinkage) are reduced by a third and they have to buy 2-3 packages to feed the kids.. now.. The top line numbers can look great While the rot is below the waterline..
