Make your own Dog Food! Try this EASY recipe for making your own dog food. Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups brown rice 1 tablespoon olive oil 3 pounds ground turkey 3 cups baby spinach 2 cups chopped carrot 1 zucchini (chopped) 1/2 cup peas Cook rice BAU. Brown turkey in a skillet. Mix vegetables, olive oil, cooked rice and cooked turkey into a large pot. Heat on medium to low heat until spinach wilted (about 7-10 minutes). Continue to mix during cooking time. Once cooled, store meal-sized portions in the freezer. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator overnight. A change of diet can be disruptive to some dogs. Consider mixing with their current food until tolerance is validated. Contact your vet for any abnormal changes in your dog.
