You asked for it… I went through the feedback forms from last years Women’s Business & Empowerment Conference (Warrior Unchained) to make sure I took into consideration what the attendees recommended. The 2 things that you asked for - You wanted more breaks for networking. - We added more time to network. - We made the theme “collaborate” to put our focus on making sure you meet the people you need to meet at the event. - We added strategic networking activities for this year both on VIP Night and during the main event. - We added a pre-event networking session on Sept 11 for all ticket holders where you will get matched with other attendees who would be great referral partners, collaborators or client/coach relationships. (We are using AI to make strategic connections) You wanted less speakers (we had 14 last year) as it felt a little overwhelming. - We have 8 main stage speakers this year. - We brought in the heavy hitter speakers with actionable advice for your business - We made the sessions slightly longer to allow for better communication & education. - We added mastermind tables so you can sit down with the speakers and get the information you need. What does this look like to you 🤔 ??? Sometimes, things aren't always as they seem at first glance. I was in Houston catching up with a lifelong friend and snapped this selfie. When I looked at it today, I noticed that the "S" in the background looked like an earring. It reminded me how important it is to take a second look because our initial perception isn't always the full picture. Where do you go to make new business connections with big businesses? I saw this quote the other day, and it made me think about what we do... "The only limit to our realisation of tomorrow is our doubts of today." - Franklin D. Roosevelt Doubt is often the most significant barrier to achieving our aspirations. When allowed to linger, it can cripple creativity and curb the action necessary for making progress. When it comes to any form of networking, you generally wouldn't have seen any value in random one-off events, if you are running a big business. They say your net worth will be the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Are you bringing up the average of those around you, and they pulling yours down? Or, are you around those that you are contributing to, and they are pulling yours up? When it comes to networking we have all met those people that want everybody to know they are doing very well. What's really funny is that within Corporate Connections, our members generally want to be the smallest business in the room! (and more than half of our members each do well over £10 million turnover!) Being around those that have been through, and overcome challenges you are currently facing is invaluable, as it prevents you from making mistakes that could be prevented.
