What can we learn from Real Madrid’s incredible run this year? Real Madrid just won their 15th UCL and league title with just one loss. Despite numerous injuries and no lead striker, they triumphed. How? A clear mindset and a never-die attitude. This got me thinking about agency life. In our world, challenges are constant: tight deadlines, demanding clients, and unexpected obstacles. But just like Real Madrid, with a clear mindset and determination, we can achieve anything. When projects seem impossible, remember: - Stay focused on your goals. - Adapt to changes and overcome obstacles. - Never give up, no matter how tough it gets. These principles are what drive success, whether on the field or in the office. Keeping a clear head and maintaining resilience are key to overcoming any challenge that comes your way. Like many, I’ve watched in bemusement Real Madrid’s reaction to the 2024 Ballon d'Or results. For those who missed it, the club decided to boycott the ceremony after Vinicius Junior didn’t win, and the award went to Manchester City's Rodri instead. This move has obviously been seen as very unsportsmanlike. This got me thinking about how we handle disappointment and what we can learn from this, especially in teaching and school leadership. Some thoughts: 1. Grace in Defeat: It’s crucial to accept outcomes gracefully, even when they’re not in our favour. This builds resilience and character in our students. 2. Respect for Others: Celebrating others’ successes fosters a positive environment. Let’s encourage our students to support their peers. 3. Constructive Feedback: Instead of public complaints, let’s focus on constructive feedback and reflection. This helps students identify areas for growth. 4. Role Modelling: As leaders, we set the tone. By modeling sportsmanship and integrity, we inspire our students to do the same. By learning from Real Madrid’s reaction, we can guide our students to handle disappointment and defeat in healthy, respectful, and constructive ways. This not only prepares them for future challenges but also helps build a positive school culture. What are your thoughts on this?

Transformation is tough. Taking the long view gets you through it. But that's not easy. One of the most spectacular places to appreciate the journey of a transformation is at The Eden Project in Cornwall. A former china clay pit, it now has two biomes (rainforest and mediterranean) and a huge collection of plants around the former hole in the ground. And it is a fantastic place to see live music. This week I have seen Crowded House, Fat Boy Slim and Paulo Nutini at the eden sessions. It is a magical setting. So... Do you know about Prophet Jesus? Do you know Prophet Jesus is in the Qur'an? Do you know how important the Prophet Jesus (Isa) is in Islam? Do know there's a whole Chapter (Surah) (19) in the Qur'an about his mother Maria (Maryam)? Do you know the Prophet Jesus is mentioned in Islamic lectures at times? Do you know how much respect and love Muslims have for Prophet Jesus? Do you know all the previous Prophets are in the Qur'an too? The Prophet Noah. The Prophet Moses. The Prophet Abraham. All the way back to Adam and Eve. Learning about Islam from mainstream media, and then thinking you know what Islam is about, let's just say mainstream media is the Worst and Least reliable source of information. Hence, the knowledge one may have about Islam, is very much prone to inaccuracy, and mistruths. One does not learn about Christianity, from the BBC or US news. One learns about Christianity from the Bible. Similarly, one does not learn about Islam from the BBC or US news. One learns about Islam from the Qur'an and Sunnah.
