This article, authored by one our Wyatt partners, is well worth a read.
Tad Myre authored a heartfelt article in the November issue of Kentucky Monthly about the historic Hotel Metropolitan in Paducah. Once a vital stop for Black travelers during the Jim Crow era, this “Green Book” hotel hosted iconic figures like Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, and Tina Turner. Myre highlights the hotel’s cultural significance and its ongoing preservation efforts, including the recent $1.34 million Mellon Foundation grant that ensures its future as a museum. This piece is a moving tribute to both the enduring legacy of the hotel and to Tad's late wife, Nancie.

New Orleans has installed a historic marker under the Claiborne overpass to honor a once-thriving Black business district displaced by Interstate 10 construction. From the 1830s to the 1970s, Claiborne Avenue was a vibrant hub of Black-owned businesses, fostering community and culture until its destruction for highway development. The marker, unveiled with a celebratory second line, serves as a tribute to the area’s entrepreneurial legacy and a reminder of its resilience. https://lnkd.in/gdwv-TfB

What does the process of reimaging your F&B operation look like? At Carousel Hospitality, we don't hear that term and simply pull out a can of paint and slap a new logo up, shuffle a half dozen menu items and call it a day. Careful, thoughtful impactful analysis is conducted. We have meaningful discussions with our partners on what the scope and scale of the project looks like, including of course cost, but most importantly, what is the desired outcome and ultimately, is that outcome moving the needle on guest satisfaction and taking the guest experience to the next level! When you're ready to evolve your guest experiences, let's discuss what reimaging your F&B operation and enhancing your total guest experience looks like. https://lnkd.in/eWWvVV2P Enhancing the total guest experience, one person at a time. #letsgo #partnership #business #guestexperience #vision
