Nonprofits Aren’t the Problem—We’ve Been the Solution For years, nonprofits and community response systems have spoken up, shared data-driven solutions, and done the work. And for years, we’ve been ignored. Congress and government agencies create the programs, regulations, and stipulations—then pull the funding and act like nonprofits are the issue. The funding freeze isn’t just a delay; it’s a choice that leaves the most vulnerable without support. We can’t keep treating housing and services like an afterthought. #FundTheSolutions #HousingMatters #EndHomelessness

Imagine a world without nonprofits. Where would the homeless go for shelter? Who would provide education to underprivileged children? What about the countless communities relying on healthcare, clean water, and disaster relief? Nonprofits are more than just organizations—they are the heart of society, offering hope, support, and change where it’s needed most. Today, let’s reflect on the immense value nonprofits bring to our world. From advocating for social justice to supporting those in crisis, these organizations fill the gaps that government and businesses often can’t. But what if they didn’t exist? What would happen to the most vulnerable among us? Join us in recognizing the impact of nonprofits and supporting their mission. The world needs them, and we need to work together to ensure they thrive. #NonprofitsMatter #SocialImpact #CommunitySupport #PledgeSoftware #makingadifferenceMakingADifference

It's EOFY giving season here in Australia for NFP's. Just a reminder to NFP's to 'show don't tell' in your digital fundraising 👇 Tip #1 Show the impact your org is having on people's lives through stories. Tip#2 Show the 'facts of the stats' of impact. Each side of your donors brain is wired differently. Some love stories and are moved to give. ❤️ (Heart not head) Others love need to see the facts of the impact to be moved to give 🧠 (Head then heart). Bonus Tip: 💡 EOFY is the best time to acquire new donors. Everyone is looking for a new cause that they already align with, values and passion wise. They are just waiting to discover your cause. Do you want to reach these new potential donors? I can help. DM me.

On #WorldKindnessDay, we celebrate the powerful impact of kindness, backed by real data. Studies show that volunteers experience 22% lower mortality rates than non-volunteers (Carnegie Mellon, 2013). Acts of kindness release oxytocin and dopamine, which reduce stress, improve mood and promote stronger social bonds (University of California, Berkeley). Research from Harvard Health even suggests that people who perform five small acts of kindness weekly see a measurable boost in well-being. Kindness isn’t just a feel-good gesture; it’s scientifically proven to improve health and longevity. Volunteer, donate, and see the difference in yourself and others. What's Beyond Feel-Good Funding? Feel-good projects make for great headlines, but what happens after the photos are taken? In May of this year, one of our partners experienced the devastation of the East African floods in their organization and surrounding community. Hundreds of families were displaced, leaving them without shelter and basic necessities. Many needed urgent support - from providing shelter to supplying essential school materials for children and ensuring access to food, the challenges are many. Thanks to your generosity, our Moshi (Tanzania) based partner Simba's Footprints Foundation was able to rebuild their programs, repair facilities that were destroyed, and prepare for the future. They were also able to provide food packages, household items, and school supplies to affected families, bringing much-needed relief and hope. We could choose to show our supporters the glowing images post-repair but it won't do justice to the invisible work that went into creating lasting impact and success. While funding emergency projects is needed, it sometimes acts as a temporary stopgap measure in the face of challenges that community leaders face. MAMA HOPE is calling for more global funding to be channeled to locally-led organizations that need to strengthen the systems that support them to operate long-term. When community organizations have a well-thought-out theory of change, strategic plan, and financial, and MEL systems, they are better placed to exist for their communities at all times, not only during crises. In times of crisis, the true spirit of America shines through not through government programs, but through the actions of its people. Across the nation, Americans are stepping up, proving that we don't need to wait for bureaucratic wheels to turn to make a difference. - **Charity Begins at Home:** Start by helping neighbors immediately around you. Check on the elderly, those with disabilities, or anyone who might need assistance. A simple act like delivering groceries or offering a ride can be transformative. - **Community Drives:** Organize or participate in local collection drives for essentials like food, water, clothing, or medical supplies. These initiatives not only aid those in need but strengthen community bonds. - **Volunteer Your Skills:** Got a skill? Whether it's carpentry, cooking, medical knowledge, or even just a good ear for listening, volunteer your time. Many hands make light work, and every skill is valuable in times of need. - **Crowdfunding and Fundraising:** Use platforms to start fundraisers for specific causes or individuals in your community. Money raised directly this way often gets to where it's needed faster and with less overhead. - **Local Businesses Support:** Patronize local businesses more than ever. They are the backbone of our communities, and by supporting them, you're helping to keep the economic fabric of your area intact. - **Education and Awareness:** Spread knowledge about how to help or what help is needed. Awareness campaigns can lead to more effective aid and prevent the duplication of efforts. - **Direct Action:** If there's flooding, wildfires, or other disasters, direct your help towards immediate needs like shelter setup, food distribution, or rescue efforts. Sometimes, being there in person is the most impactful way to help. - **Networking:** Connect with local non-profits, churches, or community centers. They often have the infrastructure to distribute aid efficiently without the red tape of government processes. Remember, our strength lies in our unity and our willingness to act. When we rely on each other rather than waiting for government intervention, we not only provide faster, more personalized aid but also foster a culture of resilience and community self-reliance. Let's show that when Americans help Americans, no challenge is too great. #CommunityOverGovernment #HelpEachOther #AmericanSpirit
