It’s fantastic to kick off the O-CEI Project with the large-scale Pilot 1, led by the IERC in Tyndall. This ambitious pilot, taking place across Ireland (Limerick), Croatia (Krk Island), and France (Île-de-France), showcases how advanced technologies like edge computing, decentralised learning, and AI can overcome challenges with flexibility services and optimise grid performance while integrating renewable energy sources. 🌞 Sustainability in the solar industry! AIT Austrian Institute of Technology supports with innovative inspection solutions. As part of the "Test Before Invest" initiative within the EDIH AI5production, we are collaborating with the Lower Austrian green-tech startup 2nd Cycle FlexCo to develop an automated, multi-sensory inspection system for used photovoltaic (PV) modules. 🚙✨ Solar on the move! TNO and partners have made significant strides in researching the potential of #solarenergy on #electricvehicles and the impact on charging stations in Europe. The results show that common passenger vehicles with integrated solar panels (VIPV) in Southern Europe can cover up to 80% of their energy needs . For Central Europe this would be 55%. In the report, the SolarMoves consortium examined the impact of VIPV at the vehicle level through extensive modelling studies, calculating efficiency improvements in vehicles and #PV for future scenarios.
