The Pioneering Spirit is more than a vessel; it’s a true marvel in offshore installation engineering—a domain where we #greatwatersmaritimeLLC typically engage in mid-scale projects. Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit represents the pinnacle of heavy-lift construction and offshore innovation, fundamentally changing the landscape of what’s achievable offshore. With a revolutionary topside lift capacity of 48,000 tons, it has achieved feats once deemed impossible. The vessel’s successful removal of Shell’s 24,000-ton Brent Delta platform and installation of Johan Sverdrup’s massive platforms in Norway are iconic achievements, completed with remarkable efficiency. Stretching 382 meters in length and equipped with groundbreaking advancements like the 2021-installed Jacket Lift System, the Pioneering Spirit exemplifies precision engineering. This system, capable of handling up to 20,000-ton jackets, minimizes complex procedures and reduces operational risks—achieving safer, more efficient operations, even under the most demanding conditions offshore. As a vessel that facilitates both decommissioning and installation in oil, gas, and renewables, it also supports the industry’s transition to sustainable energy, setting new benchmarks in offshore engineering and maritime capabilities. Here’s to the Pioneering Spirit, a testament to the power of engineering excellence and innovation, pushing the limits of what’s possible in our field. #OffshoreEngineering #HeavyLift #EngineeringMarvel #Innovation #MarineEngineering #EnergyTransition

#SeaImpact2024Review: Do you know which vessel company installed the most foundation components in 2024? It was DEME Group (including their partnership CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering) with a combined 444 foundation components installed between their vessels Innovation, Apollo, Orion 1, Green Jade and Sea Challenger. Seaway7 was the second most active with 220 foundation components installed between their two vessels Seaway Strashnov and Seaway Alfa Lift at the Dogger Bank projects. Their newest vessel Seaway Ventus is gearing up for foundation installation currently being equipped with pile gripper. Jan De Nul Group completed the foundation scope at Borkum Riffgrund 3 with their newest vessel Les Alizes installing 82 monopiles and 47 secondary steel. The vessel is now being equipped with a pile-gripper for her next project, Thor. Vole Au Vent struggled with drilling operations at Calvados in France. They were followed close by Heerema Marine Contractors and Boskalis active in Germany and the US respectively. Finally, Van Oord installed monopiles and secondary steel at Sofia Wind Farm using their jack-up vessel Aeolus. JSI Alliance (Jumbo Maritime, SAL Heavy Lift, Intermarine) installed combined 88 transition pieces/secondary steel. Keep in mind that the duration of installing of different components often varies substantially. Do you want more insight and KPIs about the offshore wind market? Book a demo now: https://lnkd.in/dwnMPFv9 Note: The chart displays the vessel company operating the vessel that installed the component. The EPCI contract for the installation may belong to another vessel company subcontracting the installation vessel. #SeaImpact #FoundationInstallation #OffshoreWind
