7am on a Saturday should be illegal but customer wants and we deliver. 11am Friday morning: customer needs big #hire order for Monday over in Ireland. Engineers all accross UK fully booked out all Friday. All of Monday. Availability on fleet very low due to insane demand. (Has silly season even ended????) Me having a ponder for a second. No problem me and my #dreamteam will make a miracle happen… Turns out job actually starts first thing Monday and hire needed for Sunday so the customer can hit the ground running… Insert Empire Asbestos #teamworkmakesthedreamwork ethos and boom. We will have it ready. Massive shout out to Jeff Nash, Rachel and James Farrow who are alll doing their bit this fine Saturday to make this happen! Meet The Team ⭐ We thought we'd start to share some of the faces at Ferndown Finishing. First in the hot seat we have: Jason 🙌 1. What is your job role? 📝 I am a director so I oversee all the operations here. I'm always in the thick of it, so you'll never see me sat out the way; I really like to get involved with the team and customers. 2. What does a typical day look like for you? ⚙ A typical day has to start with a nice coffee to get my brain into work mode. Every morning I greet the team and prep myself for the wave of emails and quotations which I take in my stride. You'll then see me between both of our units checking each department, I'm always on hand for when my team need me. 3. What do you think sets you apart in your field? 🧙♂️ I would have to say my experience. After 40 years in the industry I have seen it all - a huge range of processes, other surface treatment companies. I've faced many challenges alongside achievements which have shaped my expertise today. 4. What advice would you give to your younger self and others looking to progress into this or similar sectors? 🤝 Always always have an open mind. Stand back, look at the bigger picture. the old saying is still true, measure twice and cut once. 5. Describe your proudest professional experience 🥇 Looking back, my proudest achievement is being part of the Ferndown Finishing journey. We started in 2001 from scratch and since then have become one of the largest plating companies on the south coast. We've built an amazing customer base and I feel proud to be contributing towards the many important projects that come through our doors. 6. What would your perfect weekend look like? 🏖 I love a weekend spent with my wife and new dog on a beach walk. It's also nice when I get the chance to try and play some golf (I emphasise the try as I rarely ever get round to it lol)

This gives us the room we need to manage the many exciting projects we are working on.⁣ ⁣ Claus particularly highlights the strong sense of team spirit among colleagues as a key factor in their success:⁣ ⁣ “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦. After applying to remove the jet wash and extend the forecourt shop at Morrisons in Taunton earlier this year, Top 50 Indie MFG has now applied to add an EV charging zone and three jet wash bays in the supermarket's car park, as well as a substation.
