Sustainable showering One way to make sure your home is using resources sustainably is to test the water flow of your shower. It’s a simple task: take a ten-litre bucket and put it directly under the showerhead to collect all of the water coming out. If it fills up in a minute or less, your shower is using too much water! Modern eco showerheads can give you a great shower using just six litres per minute at the most, so replace your old one to cut water and heating costs and be a better friend to the planet. #lonnytian #bayleys #bayleysremuera #aucklandrealestate #remuerarealestate #remuerahomes #epsom #orakei #ellerslie #greenlane #altogetherbetter #realestateagent #realestatenz #sellmyhome #househunting

Happy World Environment Day! 🌍🌱 SUSTAINABLE LIVING: Living in a bush-fire prone area with a lot of natural Australian natives is beautiful, nothing beats waking up to a flock of Black Cockatoos, or listening to the buzz of busy bees but it also means when it is dry (which is often in WA) there is a higher risk of a bushfire. My weekend project was to create rock gardens up on the pad but over the last year I have built a 30m long limestone rock wall (which i finally planted with agave) and gabion seating. This is REAL sustainability which not only looks amazing (when it is finished), but also provides significant environmental and economic benefits. Here is why I chose to landscape this way...
