🌍 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲: 𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 🌍 As the Chief Product Officer at asgoodasnew, I’m feeling the urgency of balancing our tech-driven world with the health of our planet. Today is Earth Overshoot Day—the day we've officially used up all the resources our planet can regenerate in a year. This year, it’s August 1st, which means we’re using nature 1.7 times faster than it can replenish. This date is a wake-up call, pushing us to rethink our actions and take meaningful steps toward sustainability. At asgoodasnew, sustainability is at the core of what we do. Here’s how we’re making an impact: 🔄 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆: We’re all about the circular economy. By refurbishing and reselling pre-owned electronics, we extend the life of these devices, slash electronic waste, and reduce the need for new resources. 💡 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: TechForGood. We’re investing in cutting-edge refurbishment technologies to make sure our products are top-tier. This way, our customers get quality and sustainability in one package. 🌱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: We know there’s more work to do, and we've made that a priority over the next 12 months. We’re launching our "Sustainability Champion" project to dramatically cut our carbon footprint. This initiative will overhaul our energy use, sourcing practices, and overall operations. Let’s not just talk about change; let’s lead it. By continuously improving our sustainability efforts and pushing the boundaries of tech innovation, we can make a real impact and inspire others to follow. Together, we can push Earth Overshoot Day later in the year. Let’s make it happen - together. #EarthOvershootDay #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #Innovation #CorporateResponsibility #asgoodasnew #TechForGood

Building a sustainable Future is the best motivation for what you do...
Excited to share why #circularity is not just important—it's essential for our future. As we stand at the cusp of building our industry's first truly circular unit, my passion for sustainable innovation has never been stronger. This journey towards circularity is not just about reducing waste; it's about reimagining how resources can be used and reused, creating a system that benefits not just our company, but our planet. 🌍 We understand that achieving true circularity is a collaborative effort. That's why we're partnering with leading suppliers and academic institutions to push the boundaries of what's possible. Together, we're exploring innovative ways to design waste out of our processes and products, and to keep materials in use for as long as possible. This isn't just a project; it's a commitment to #future generations. I am incredibly proud to be part of a team that's not just talking about #sustainability but is actively working towards it. We're on a mission to not only achieve our own circular goals but also to inspire others to join us in this crucial endeavor. Check out this launch film and the series to support our mission. This #EarthDay, we're reimagining our approach to designing solutions, products, and businesses by treating the Earth as a context and a persona in our human-centered design process. Incorporating the Earth as a persona means deeply understanding its needs, pains, and aspirations, just as we do with human personas in our projects. Here's a breakdown of the process: Define Earth's Persona Attributes: Similar to creating a persona for a user, define Earth's characteristics, needs, preferences, and pain points. Then consider the planet's ecosystems, biodiversity, climate needs, and environmental stressors as key attributes. For example, Earth could have attributes like reducing carbon footprint, preferring renewable resources, and experiencing pain from plastic pollution. 🌎 Empathy Mapping for Earth: Conduct an empathy mapping session where you try to understand, empathize, and articulate how the Earth 'feels' about certain actions or inactions. Mapping could involve examining the impacts of waste, pollution, and deforestation and how these can be alleviated or prevented through design. 💡 Ideation with Earth in Mind: Keep Earth's persona at the forefront in brainstorming sessions. Generate ideas that would meet Earth's needs and address its pain points. Designing for the Earth's persona could lead to innovative solutions like biodegradable materials, zero-waste production methods, or energy-efficient technologies. 🔬 Prototype and Test for Sustainability: Develop prototypes with Earth's persona in mind, ensuring that materials, processes, and usage are sustainable. Testing involves assessing the environmental impact, such as carbon footprint, resource consumption, and long-term sustainability, and refining the solution based on these criteria. By designing with the Earth as a persona, we can create more than just user-centered solutions; we can contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world for future generations. 🌱✨ #EarthDay #BCorp #SaveThePlanet

Ready to make 2025 the Year of Sustainable Labs? 🌱 🧪 Every year it's the same ritual: we all make New Year's resolutions, but they usually don't last very long. What about breaking this habit in 2025 and making this your sustainability year? Curious to know how to achieve this? Keep reading to explore how I can help you make your lab work more sustainable. 🌱 You’re at the very beginning and curious about green lab topics? You want short and concise information on how to make your lab more sustainable? You are interested in tips on how to reduce waste, conserve resources such as energy and water, or would you like an insight into the basics of green analytical chemistry? My presentations range from a general overview of how to be more sustainable in the lab to specific strategies such as how to save plastic in the lab. 🔎 You`re ready to dive deeper into the different aspects of lab sustainability? You want to delve deep into the various aspects of sustainability in the lab: from saving resources to best practice and sustainable routines in the lab, insights into sustainable procurement and what constitutes sustainable products to the question of how sustainability can be established in the lab in the long term? In workshops, I provide the necessary background knowledge and we work directly on measures that you can implement. Because that's what's most important to me - that you’ll leave with a clear action plan to make real changes. 🧪 You need hands-on support in your lab environment? Forest App's Earth Day 2024 🌏: When Productivity Meets Sustainability As Earth Day 2024 came and went, many brands launched creative campaigns to contribute to a greener planet. My favorite was Forest app's Earth Day campaign. For those unfamiliar, Forest is an app designed to help users stay focused on what truly matters in life—simply by planting (virtual) trees 🌱. This year, Forest took their commitment by announcing a special initiative: users who accumulated 422 minutes of focused time between April 19th and April 29th received not only 150 Time Crystals but also had a real tree planted on their behalf. This endeavor was made possible through their partnership with Trees for the Future (TREES) organization. While the campaign may not have directly addressed this year's theme of "Planet vs Plastics," the concept of “Productivity = Sustainability” was still very fascinating to me 🫨 What’s your favorite Earth Day campaign this year?

We come fully into the last quarter of the #year. Are you #rushing trying to finish things? Are you stressing yourself about how you're going to fit everything you want to do in the next three months? Are you? 🪷 You are, I am, and everyone is doing that. However, I want to propose something different for the next three months that might feel like it’s not the right thing to do, but it might feel like the right thing to do. I want to propose three things: ✅#Beingslowanddeliberate in everything that you do in the next three months, being very slow and deliberate, like #takingyourtime for the #decisions that you're making, taking the time for the changes that you are making, taking the time for the responses that you are giving ✅Second, I want to propose #lettinggooftheoutcome and focus on the process of what you are doing in the next three months. ✅And third, I want to propose to let things “fall down and compost” and allow everything that has happened this year to transform into something new. Let it fall and let it compost. 🍂 In #nature, nothing is discarded or goes to waste. When we look back at everything that has happened during this year, let everything fall gently on your lap. Look at it and let it compost. 🌟What can all the things that I've done or that I didn't finish, be changed into if I allow them to compost and transform into something different?🌟 Here is the invitation to do things slowly, to be in the process, and to allow everything that has been happening up to now to “fall and compost.” This is going to be the foundation upon you are going to be #visualizing2025. This is the foundation upon you’re going to be moving into your new goals and #newprojects. 🎉 As I said. in nature nothing goes to waste. Everything is recycled into something new. And I want to propose you to do that as you set your vision for 2025. I think it's a great experiment, and I have saved a few dates to do this and more! 🌟Here is what I have in mind: #SimplifyyourLifein2025 Series ✅November 8: Let it fall down and compost ✅November 15: Visualizing your dream 2025 ✅November 22: Making Decisions Fridays from 4PM to 4:45 PM Join one or join all of them: https://lnkd.in/eScfyddH Replays will be available for those who register. May we harness the energy of the past, to be in the present and to dream of our future. As the world moves toward sustainable solutions, individual actions are becoming more important than ever. At Orgoooo, we don’t just offer eco-friendly products; we aim to raise awareness about sustainability across all sectors of society. Our products serve as tools that not only help individuals contribute to the environment but also symbolize the positive change we can create. Every Orgoooo pencil is more than just a writing tool. It carries the potential to give back to nature, with plant seeds embedded at the end of each pencil, ready to be planted. In one instance, as a child studies, they notice the plant seed at the end of the pencil. This small discovery brings them closer to nature, and when they plant the seed in a pot, the growth of the plant represents how sustainability can be seamlessly integrated into our lives through small but meaningful actions. This scene illustrates Orgoooo’s belief that simple steps can lead to significant impact. Sustainability is not just about minimizing environmental impacts; it’s about spreading awareness and encouraging others to adopt this mindset. We strive to show that even the smallest actions can lead to meaningful change. Our mission is to inspire people to live in harmony with nature by integrating sustainable practices into their daily lives. Through our products, we aim to instill this awareness from an early age, allowing individuals to contribute to a greener future. At Orgoooo, our vision is to make sustainability a global movement and integrate this awareness into everyday life. Future generations deserve a world where nature and society coexist in balance, and this can only be achieved through collective action. Children play a vital role in this journey, and through our eco-friendly pencils, we take pride in making them part of the solution. A single seed may seem small, but its contribution to the environment is immeasurable. Each pencil holds the promise of a more sustainable world. At Orgoooo, we envision a future where everyone takes responsibility for their role in protecting the planet, and our products are a step toward making that vision a reality. #sustainability #ecofriendly #greenliving #plantatree #futureofsustainability #greeninnovation #greenfuture #climateaction #ecopencils
