Being a digital nomad, expat, traveler, or entrepreneur ain’t worth it when you: ❌ become a zombie spending 10 hours a day in screens ❌ burn 6 hours a day on social media. ❌ Suffer from headaches, blue light poisoning, back problems, and eye drain. We are just crazy monkeys claiming on a tree in the jungle. We’re built to >> Move 🚲 Dance 💃 Stretch 🧘 Tell stories next to the fire. 🔥 We’re NOT built to sit and stare at screens 10 hours a day. 📺 It’s NOT natural for us. It’s NOT good for us. This is the #1 reason I go hard on the 9-5 rat race: The harmful "sitting on your ass" lifestyle it brings. It kills your body, your health, your eyes, and your social skills. The only hack I use to balance work and life First, there is no: - perfect work-life balance, - perfect time management, - perfect energy management. Life is dynamic and each period or life situation brings its own challenges. Remote work is no exception, as it offers freedom and flexibility, which can lead to varied working hours. I used to have a rule: dedicating the entire Sunday to recharge and digital detox. I tried to stick to it no matter what. This illusion of perfect work-life balance created more tension than benefits. Instead of creating strict boundaries, I like the idea of a CONTRAST: 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 <--> 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 It helps me to avoid burnout and maintain actual balance. There are moments when intensity and going all in are needed. There are moments when rest and relaxation are the most important. It suggests we can give equal parts of ourselves to work and life at all times, which isn't just unrealistic; it's unsustainable (leaving us even more burned out). There will be times when we're in the thick of a major project or launching a new venture, and work will demand more from us. And there will be times when family, health, or personal projects need to take center stage. As we step into spring, a season of renewal, let's reevaluate our approach to managing work and life. Let's give ourselves the grace to lean into whatever season we're in, fully embracing each moment—whether that's closing deals or closing our laptops early to enjoy time with the people who mean the most to us.
