Urban Oasis, LUGA Luxembourg We are excited to announce that #UrbanOasis will be part of LUGA - Luxembourg Urban Garden garden and open air exhibition of urban gardens, ephemeral installations and agricultural projects and will take place at four emblematic venues in Luxembourg City from may 7th until October 18th 2025 In the heart of Luxembourg City, we turn the square of Rive de Claussen into an temporary “Urban Oasis”. Hidden in the bustling urban landscape, this oasis emerges as a pleasant place to stay, It is designed with a diversity of plantings to green the environment, reduce heat stress, increase biodiversity and create a harmonious balance between nature and urbanization. It not only provides a space to relax , but also to attract birds, butterflies and bees. Several nesting opportunities have been created with specially designed objects. These efforts help maintain biodiversity and create a healthy habitat. The planting has been selected in such a way that it also provides food, thus contributing to the habitat of various species. After the exhibition the planting and pots will get a new destination in the city.

Steven Bingler on Havana's evolving public-private landscape: "In recent times, the process of public space placemaking has cultivated some new forms of Cuban urbanism, developed in part by a creative class of visual, performing, and culinary artisans, whose work also supports Cuba’s all-important tourism industry. These new public and semipublic spaces raise some interesting questions about the interface between socialist public and private enterprise, and the power of the creative class to support political and cultural change." https://lnkd.in/eQCFCuhu

Au vert" Porte de La Chapelle Between Porte de la Chapelle and Parc de la Villette, the Éole-Évangile site forms a vast triangle of almost 13,000m². What was the project? To transform this area into a new district, a model of urban ecology and sustainable development. A principle that guided the construction of the housing, offices, shops and cultural and sports facilities that saw the light of day in 2023. The result is the Îlot Fertile, the first zero-carbon neighbourhood in Paris, with 126 mixed-use homes, 164 student flats, 150 flats for young workers and a youth hostel. It also features a landscaped path dedicated to soft mobility, a 3,500 m² sports complex and 3,800 m² of green spaces, including orchards and vegetable gardens. A new place in Paris where you can really breathe...

A journey in my graduation project: Landscape Heritage Park A Landscape Heritage park is a place where people modify the land to represent part of their heritage in this case the plants of Bahrain. It is made to protect the land's vegetative heritage and to educate people about the plants that could be grown in the region. the main goal of the project is to highlight the beauty of the land's vegetative heritage. The project’s idea is from Bahrain – to showcase what Bahrain really is – the location, and things found. Landscapes provide ecosystem services, support biodiversity, represent cultural significance, offer aesthetic value, and generate economic value. Landscape heritage parks show tales about the landscape, such as plants, Nature, and landforms, and act as symbols of the landscape's national and regional identity. Plants are omnipresent and multifunctional, offering an excess of benefits ranging from food to handicrafts.

The global real estate market is witnessing a paradigm shift with sustainability at its core with a high demand for eco-friendly living spaces and thus impacting the overall real estate development and investment. Hellas Homes is setting the scene into the concept of sustainable living by abiding to energy efficiency protocols (Energy Efficiency Class A) for a smaller carbon footprint. These practices are not only beneficial for the environment but also offer economic advantages through reduced utility costs. Our project Hermes being awarded as the Best Luxury Sustainable Apartment Living in Greece in the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2024 is an honorable distinction of our green endeavors that we wear as a crown. Furthermore, the integration of green spaces, pedestrian-friendly zones, and public transport options as key factors in sustainable urban development enhance the appeal of residential areas. Specifically, Pagkrati district offers a handful of notable green spaces that reflect the neighborhood's commitment to sustainability like Dexameni Square, Pagkrati Park (Alsos Pagkratiou), the National Garden, Community Gardens and many future developments that are to come. Looking ahead with a sustainable mind is the key for a better quality of urban life. Hop on the trend like we do. #HellasHomes #RealEstateGuide #AthensHousing #AthensRenting #SustainableLiving #SustainablePractices #SustainableUrbanDevelopmment
