From Volunteer to Finalist: Wema Bank Hackaholics. When Mr. Jude asked who's on LinkedIn, I raised my hand like I was ready to shout, "I'm thrilled to inform you..."! But, I took 10 days to reflect on this amazing experience. Anyways, I'm thrilled to share my incredible journey from a volunteer to a finalist at the Wema Bank Plc. Bank Plc. #Hackaholic October 2nd - 4th🤭. The 3-day Hackaholic was the perfect start to October. An experience? Yes, in the best way possible! Huge thanks to Solomon O. Ayodele , Taslim Alli, CEDF, Abisola Smith , Jude Akinyemi and to the entire #Hackaholics team for the opportunity. Here's the twist: I began as a volunteer on Day 1 since my team registration was delayed and we couldn't make it to the initial registration deadline. Working with Jude Akinyemi , Adebosola, and Joseph was fantastic! I managed to squeeze in a pre-pitch registration and nailed the preliminary elevator pitch round on Day 2. And, on Day 3, I made it to the finals, proudly representing my team, Eivolv - a startup dedicated to helping businesses prosper digitally in Africa. Being a participant and volunteering simultaneously? Priceless! Jude Akinyemi even called me a hero 🙈. I must admit, this was my first pitch experience, and considering the scarcity of such events in school, it was truly eye-opening. Although we didn't take home the top prize, I'm grateful for the invaluable experience and connections made.
