In recognition of The Longest Day, our Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Joelle Margrey, spoke with CNY Central about our first year implementing the Montessori approach in our memory care facilities. With the Montessori approach, we are able to empower our memory care residents by encouraging them to make their own choices, maintain their independence and continue to live meaningful lives in their communities. Thank you CNYCentral WSTM NBC3, WTVH CBS5 & CW6 for the coverage and for highlighting The Longest Day as we continue to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's and dementia in turn for a brighter future. #endalz https://bit.ly/3VUVki5

اللهم لك الحمد كما ينبغي لجلال وجهك وعظيم سلطانك I am thrilled and honoured to share our new publication at #q1 journal of geriatric nursing from #Elsevier thank you so much for all my colleagues who share me this brilliant research Older adults with Negative Past and fatalistic Present perspectives tend to experience lower levels of happiness and optimism. Conversely, those with a hedonistic view of the present and a positive view of the future tend to exhibit higher levels of happiness and optimism. Older adults with a pessimistic outlook toward past experiences or the future may require additional emotional support and targeted interventions to foster a more positive mindset. The study underscores the role of nursing professionals in facilitating this process by encouraging older adults to reflect on positive experiences and events, focus on living in the present moment, and maintain an optimistic outlook.
