A Manufacturer’s Rep (Rep) plays a crucial role in the distribution and sales of products on behalf of a manufacturer(s). Their primary responsibilities include: •Sales and Promotion – Responsible for promoting/selling manufacturer’s products to prospective customers. They use their industry knowledge and sales expertise to generate/close deals. •Territory Management – Identify and targeting potential customers, understanding market trends, and assessing the competition. •Product Knowledge – A deep understanding of manufacturer’s products. Reps convey features, benefits and specifications to customers. •Customer Relations – Build and maintain strong relationships with customers is key. Reps provide customer service, address inquiries, and resolve issues. •Market Research – Keep manufacturer informed about market trends and conditions. •Training and Support – Provide training and support to help sell products effectively. •Reporting and Communication – Provide regular reports regarding performance, market trends and any industry challenges. •Problem Solving – Tasked with addressing and resolving issues that arise with customers (RMA’s, delivery delays). •Market Expansion – Explore opportunities for expanding manufacturer’s market presence, identifying new potential customers/markets.
