Reflecting on an interview I had back in 2022—my vision for Toss was crystal clear. Bringing that dream to life was intimidating, but embracing the journey despite the fear has been immensely rewarding. Over the years, I've delved into Manufacturing, Design, Marketing, and more. Every step has been a lesson, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The path to success is often paved with challenges, and I've embraced each one to grow and evolve. Here's to continuous learning and the exciting journey ahead! ✨ #CareerJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #Entrepreneurship #TossAfriqueDreams. Special thanks to kemi Animashaun for always being my support.

The Power of Action with Represent I recently watched an interview with the Heaton brothers about how they founded Represent; one phrase that George Heaton said and resonated deeply with me: "The more you do, the more you can do." It’s a powerful reminder that action not only produces results but also creates opportunities. When starting a project or campaign, it's natural to feel doubts. But here's the trick: every small step we take strengthens us and equips us to tackle bigger challenges. Represent began as an idea, but with each action and decision, it transformed into a leader in the industry 🎨 This makes me think of a scene in Rocky, where perseverance and hard work become the keys to success. 🥊 Just like James Clear mentions in his book Atomic Habits, improving by just 1% every day can lead to remarkable transformations over time. Small, consistent actions can compound into significant results. Remember, success isn’t just about what you do; it’s about how daring you are to act. So, what steps can you take today to move toward your goals? Don't underestimate the power of action. Sustainable Fashion Business & Mindset Growth Coach l Helping discouraged fashion entrepreneurs grow a thriving business with confidence l Thrive 1:1 coaching experience £444 l DM for details
I'm looking for 5 budding fashion entrepreneurs.. ..because if you're the founder (or soon to be) of a sustainable fashion business/ brand, then I would love to 'borrow' 30 mins of your time ✌🏽. To see where you're at and what you're struggling with, in your business. In return ( i.e the energy exchange ⚡️), I'm offering a 30 min session whereby you can ask me anything about your business. You'll come away with a better understanding of the next steps to take to help you and your business grow. I'm in a bit of a transition ( for want of a better word) and came to realise recently, that my messaging is all off. Particularly after witnessing some major breakthroughs my client, recently had. Turns out I've been too scared to lean into what I'm truly good at. So, I’d like to understand your needs better, to be able to serve more effectively, with right fit programs, courses and consultations. This 30 min call is a perfect fit for both pre -start up to more established businesses. Link to book your free spot, is in the comments. #sustainablefashion #fashionbrand #fashionentrepreneur

I find true wealth in having a roof over my head, food in my fridge, clothes to wear, and a car to drive - this is the definition of true privilege. I do not own expensive brand items and have no desire for them. I prefer supporting small business owners, entrepreneurs, and local artisans over spending on big-ticket items and luxury brands. I’d rather buy a handcrafted bag than something mass-produced. Quality is everywhere if we take the time to look. Our society is flooded with material things that go out of style and get lost. The recent Vinted campaign highlights the issue of clothing overconsumption and promotes more mindful fashion choices. I’m a tough person to shop for because I buy what I need and value practicality over flash. Have you read the book “Invisible Women” by Caroline Criado Perez? Many products target women, encouraging impulsive spending and therefore making it harder for us to manage finances. Our society is flooded with material things that go out of style and get lost. Instead, let’s invest in experiences, education, and family. These bring lasting value. Let’s break that cycle and make conscious choices. Support local, think sustainably, and spend wisely. #SupportLocal #SustainableLiving #ConsciousConsumer #entrepreneurship #ValueOverMaterial

Fuckery and Fluff Free, Served up straight, No BS disruptive leadership. Visionary. Human Centric. Mama. Mentor. Maverick. Ex HR. Reformed Business Coach ⚡️
In the world of fast fashion, trends come and go. Business models are no different. Entrepreneurs jump onto the next ‘winning’ formula, hoping to hack their way to success. But those tactics fade like last season’s runway. They’re built for speed, not sustainability. For the serious, success-bound contenders? You know that true greatness isn’t off-the-shelf. It’s bespoke. Take my T*g Heuer—I’ve had it for 20 years. It cost €5k, and it’s still pristine. This isn’t just a watch, it’s a Swiss avant-garde timepiece that’s never gone out of style. Quality is embedded in its design—it outshines anything trendy. It’s a status symbol, reserved for a certain type of client: discerning and sophisticated. I will never need another watch. The same goes for a Category of One business. It’s not shaped by fleeting trends or copycat formulas. It’s crafted with depth, substance, and quality. When you build something custom-made to your unique vision, you stand out—and that’s timeless. I will never need another business model. If you’re in business for the long game, stop chasing shortcuts. Build a business like my T*g Heuer—elegant, enduring, and unmistakably you. #leadership #maverick ##growthmindset #coach #categoryofone

3 Hard Truths About Starting a Fashion Business (And What I've Learned So Far) As a fashion entrepreneur, I've experienced the exhilarating highs and the gut-wrenching lows of building a brand from scratch. While the journey at Ur•Mish has incredibly rewarding, it's also fraught with challenges that many don't talk about. Here are three hard truths I've learned firsthand, along with strategies I used to overcome them: 📖It's Not Just About Pretty Clothes: While passion for fashion fuels my creativity, I've learned (the hard way) that it takes more than just a love for clothes to build a successful business. It's taken me a year to start piecing together the complex puzzle of a fashion brand. 📖What I've Learned So Far: If setting up a fashion business seems easy, that's a red flag. This industry demands a solid plan, resilience, financial savvy, and a deep understanding of your target market. I'm still figuring it out, but I'm committed to learning, adapting, and growing with every challenge. 📖Rejection is Part of the Game: Whether it's from buyers, investors, or even customers, rejection is inevitable. It can be disheartening, but it's crucial not to let it derail your vision. 📖What I've Learned So Far: I learned to view rejection as feedback, not failure. I used it to refine my products, improve my pitch, and ultimately create a stronger brand. 📖It's a Marathon, Not a Sprint: Building a successful fashion business takes time, perseverance, and a whole lot of grit. There will be setbacks and moments of doubt, but it's important to keep your eyes on the prize. 📖What I've Learned So Far: I set realistic goals, celebrated small wins, and surrounded myself with a supportive network of fellow entrepreneurs who understood the journey. While the fashion industry is fiercely competitive and filled with challenges, it's also incredibly rewarding. By acknowledging these hard truths and developing strategies to overcome them, you'll be better equipped to build a fashion brand that not only survives but thrives. Remember, every successful entrepreneur has faced their own set of challenges. Don't be afraid to ask for help, learn from your mistakes, and never give up on your dream. #fashionentrepreneur #fashionstartup #entrepreneurlife #smallbusiness #lessonslearned
