As part of a child custody case, declaration letters are statements of facts that outline main points and requests. Here are some things you should consider including in a declaration letter: • Dates. Use a specific month and year, or just the year if that’s all you have. • Arguments. Put your strongest and mostpersuasive argument first. • Exhibits. Limit yourself to the exhibits that best support your argument and don’t refer to evidence you do not have. • Details.
