Today is World Drowning Prevention Day, Starting in April 2021, the United Nations General Assembly affirmed drowning as a preventable global public health issue and declared 25 July as World Drowning Prevention Day. Working in the Marine industry carries the inherent and obvious risk of drowning every day. I see this going sideways fast. Why would they do this? While both tap water and bottled water are regulated to ensure safety, tap water is subject to more rigorous and transparent standards enforced by the EPA, whereas bottled water is regulated by the FDA with standards that may be perceived as less stringent and less transparent, not to mention bottled water companies are not required to disclose testing results. This new rule will push more people to not trusting the safer source of drinking water, right out of the tap.....Or the filtered fridge dispenser in my case.
