Any morning when it rains, one of my community members starts singing, "Rain rain come away! Comman comman come away, little... wants to play, rain rain come away!" 🤣🤣 And he keeps singing until he puts everyone's name in the "little.... wants to play", even mine, "little auntie Amarachi wants to play" 🤣🤣🤣 Let's look at Advanced Language Enrichment Techniques For children developing typically or those who need an extra boost, try these advanced strategies: 1. Dialogic reading: Ask questions and discuss stories while reading to promote deeper engagement. 2. Word games: Play with rhymes, alteration, and word categories to enhance phonological awareness and vocabulary. 3. Storytelling: Encourage children to create and tell their own stories to develop narrative skills. 4. Expand and extend: Build on what children say by adding more complex vocabulary and sentence structures. 5. Introduce abstract concepts: Gradually incorporate words for emotions, time, and spatial relationships. 6. Metacognitive talk: Discuss thinking processes to develop higher-order language skills. 7.
