DEVELOPING STRONG HAMSTRINGS•
Hamstring injuries are the most common injuries rates as it range from 6% - 29% in all track and field sport. This is due to the high demands placed on these muscles during explosive accelerations, rapid changes of direction, and maximal speed running.
1️⃣ Identify the key risk factors on the sporting demands
2️⃣ Determine what stimulus is required to drive adaptation
3️⃣ Develop a strategies to delver stimulus
By including both proximal and distal focus exercises in the training program, athletes can ensure that they are targeting the hamstrings from multiple angles, addressing both hip extension and knee flexion movements.
