'Destination Dupes' are one of this year's biggest travel trends with more travellers opting for lesser known, more budget frindly options that offer similar experiences than the already popular destinations. It's not something new, just the term has now been coined. Think Bodrum for St. Tropez, Paros for Santorini, Budapest for Barcelona, Lake Bled for Lake Como.    As costs continue to rise, dupes become even more attractive. Reports suggests holiday prices are atleast 30% more expensive than pre covid. Looking at such alternates makes travel combine affordability, authenticity and lets you escape the crowds.
