Exploring the utility of repetitive cervical traction has been a pivotal part of my approach in treating patients with scoliosis. This technique not only facilitates elongation and hydration of cervical spine tissues but also enhances mobility in rigid areas, crucial for scoliosis management. Leveraging patient-controlled force, this method stands out for its tolerability and effectiveness in clinical practice. #ScoliosisManagement #CervicalTraction #PhysicalTherapy #SpineHealth #InnovationInCare #ProfessionalDevelopment #HealthcareSolutions #PatientCenteredCare #ClinicalExcellence #TherapeuticInnovation

WHY SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE ARTHRITIS IN THE SPINE The short answer is a loss of normal mobility. Human beings have 24 MOVABLE spinal bones. As we age and have some x-rays taken of the spine, arthritis is usually seen. Usually, 2,3,4 or more spinal bones are mentioned. What about the other 20 or so spinal bones? Those spinal bones have been enjoying normal mobility. The spinal bones not mobile will demonstrate arthritis on x-ray after several years of wear and tear. It is not due to “old age.” The term given to this common finding is neurological biomechanical pathology. As the term states, there is a neurological component. The spinal bones, not moving normally, are also restricting the intelligent, vital energy-signals to and from the brain and all body parts. Chiropractors are the only professionals that are trained and equipped to detect the mobility of each spinal bone. Adjustments are given to those segments that need help moving. If you want your body to function normally and feel better, you should have your spine checked and adjusted. An MRI is crucial for assessing spinal discs because it provides a detailed and accurate view of their structure and any abnormalities like herniations. It serves as the gold standard for visualizing the size, location, and changes in discs, enabling healthcare providers to diagnose conditions accurately. A patient with severe lower back pain and a 1.3mm disc herniation compressing nerves illustrates the MRI's role in identifying the cause of pain, guiding effective treatment strategies aimed at relief and recovery. #MRI #SpinalHealth #DiscHerniation #BackPainRelief #MedicalImaging #HealthcareDiagnosis

Amblyopia, also known as "lazy eye," is frequently misdiagnosed when the actual issue may be functional or pathological vision loss. This article by the Review Education Group explores the significant variances. Here are the highlights: - 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬: Psychological origin, not due to structural abnormalities. - 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬: Caused by physical damage or disease. - 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬: Thorough clinical evaluation and advanced imaging. - 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Address psychological factors for functional loss; medical or surgical interventions for pathological causes.
