I started working at Vaaree 18 months ago, 3 days post my birthday. I was both excited and nervous to move to a new city. I wondered how long it would take to get comfortable, and if the company's talk about "culture" was real or just words on their careers page. The first day at Vaaree was interesting. The workplace didn't have private offices. Managers and founders worked side by side with their teams, not hidden in corner offices. It gave me perspective to understand the the ins and out of different verticals and gave me more opportunities to contribute. In the following weeks, I learned more about my job, slowly gaining confidence. With a year of relevant experience it surely was enough to take in but I got a lot more out of it. What stood out was the encouragement to make decisions and not be afraid of making "first-time" mistakes. This was a big green flag for me to understand the core and vision of the company. I remember the day we moved from the co working space to our own office and getting a joyous feeling of getting our own desk. Even though I must admit I miss sharing desk space with my teammates and having meetings in the hallways. These memories of Vaaree will always be my favorite whenever I look back. This journey is nothing less than a fun rollercoaster of exciting opportunities endless scope of learning.
