Founder of G2G Consulting & Co-Founder of the Women's Health PAC & the Women's Digital Health Network
This a must-see event on #breastcancer and #breastdensity -- learn the facts, ask your Members of Congress & USPSTF to take action to expand insurance coverage for supplemental screening (which is essential screening beyond a mammogram), ask your doctor if you are getting supplemental screening if you are among the 50% of all #women with dense breasts, and tell your friends to learn their breast tissue type and advocate for the care they need. 71% of all breast cancer #patients have dense breasts and if you have dense breasts, mammograms only work 50% of the time in detecting cancer. Yet technology exists to fill this gap, but women are not able to access if coverage is denied. Early detection saves lives! Leslie Ferris Yerger -- you are saving lives with ALL that you do -- a warrior for women, an unstoppable #changemaker and my hero! #womenshealth

🎥 Going through a traumatic experience can make you bitter or better—it’s your choice. I’m beyond honored to have my documentary “16 Tuesdays” featured at the Prairie Fest Film Festival. Over the past few years, I’ve leaned into creativity and therapy to channel my emotions, heal, and inspire others after my breast cancer diagnosis. Now, I’m grateful to partner with organizations to help others do the same. Here are a few tips to help you start sharing your story after a traumatic event: 1. Acknowledge your fears and share your story slowly. 2. Open up to those you trust. 3. Express emotions through creativity. 4. Say positive affirmations. 5. Own your story and give yourself space and grace. 🌟 Ready to watch the documentary and learn more? Visit: https://lnkd.in/gaxvimdm What are some of your biggest fears about telling your story? Drop them in the comments below. #Cancerstories #ShareYourStory #HealingThroughCreativity #ResilienceJourney #MentalHealthMatters # #TraumaToTriumph #StorytellingHealing #PositiveAffirmations #GraceAndHealing

Supporting a loved one through their breast cancer journey takes love and empathy. Below is 4 ways you can support a loved one. 1) In the journey through breast cancer, love speaks louder than words. 🌸✨ Remember to check in regularly, a simple 'how are you?' can make all the difference. 💕📲 2) Two sets of listening ears are better than one. 🤝 Accompany your loved one to appointments, provide comfort, and let them know they're not alone. 💖👂 3) Being there is a gift of love. 🎁💓 Attend to their emotional needs, share laughter and let them know you are there for them, Sometimes, it's the simple things that make the biggest impact - like popping over for a cup of tea. 4)Practical advice with a sprinkle of love: Be the pillar of strength your loved one needs. Offer assistance with daily tasks, cook a comforting meal, and assure them that, no matter what, you're there for them. #SBCF #beatingbreastcancertogether
