Will youth turn the tide in favour of Viksit Bharat?
In the lead-up to the 2024 elections, political parties have once again included youth-centric initiatives in their manifestos. The ruling party's manifesto emphasizes continued support for programs like Skill India and Startup India, as well as new measures aimed at addressing youth unemployment and promoting digital litera- cy. Happiness is the ultimate objective of each one of us. We may succeed and reach great HEIGHTS, but if there is UnHappiness around due to UnEmployment and Under-Employment, it could turnout to be a BOMB, despite best efforts of any political party in power, because NONE can meet this Challenge of its own.

Watching this episode really hit me hard. As someone who cares deeply about the future of India's workforce, it’s disheartening to see so many young, talented individuals struggling to find meaningful employment despite their education and efforts.
The fact that youth unemployment is over 42%, and that the informal sector employs nearly 90% of the workforce, leaves me thinking—what more can we do?
At Metvy, we’re working hard to tackle this challenge. I’ve been pouring my energy into developing multiple products focused on upskilling because I truly believe that bridging the gap between education and employability is the key. We need to equip young Indians with the right skills that match the needs of today’s job market, and empower them to find stable, fulfilling careers.
Here are a few ways we can make a difference:
Focus on practical, industry-relevant skills through targeted programs.
Encourage continuous learning to adapt to evolving job demands.
Support female workforce participation, which can unlock enormous potential for economic growth.
The potential in India is massive, but if we don’t solve the employment gap, it will continue to hold us back. We are committed to being part of the solution, and I hope more of us can come together to support this cause.

in india :
1 in 3 graduates are unemployed.
1 in 5 with secondary or higher education are unemployed.
1 in 30 illiterate are unemployed.
and yet 50% of india is below 25 and 65% below 35.
how does a country call itself powerful, rich and developed if their biggest asset is their weakest link.
what could be the reason for this?
gig economy? poor education? bad govt policies?
i havent seen another country that celebrates and encourages brain-drain with a sense of misplaced pride, more than india.
we are losing the brightest, not being able to employ the rest.
has the modi govt or the opposition given any solutions to this, other than just trying to pull each other's knickers out, before an election?
i dont follow news in india coz they are all toxic hookers on the footpath and i havent seen any unbiased, mature and thought-provoking discussions. so does anybody have any insights into this?
ps: whoever put 'g#nd' in propaganda is a genius.
