Turning Defeat into Honour. The recent #Indian #election was more than a political contest; it was a #masterclass in resilience and honour. While #Modi and #BJP claimed a hard-won victory, the #Congress and #INDIA alliance showcased a never-before-seen honourable #defeat. As #entrepreneurs, this is a profound lesson: #success isn't just about winning. It's about how we face setbacks. The honourable defeat of #Congress and #INDIA shows us the power of grace under pressure and the strength in standing by our values. "हार में भी जीत है, अगर हौसले बुलंद हों।" Remember, it's not just #victories that define us, but how we rise from our defeats. #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #Success #Resilience #Integrity #HonourableDefeat #India #LOksabahaelection24

The man, the true icon whom I admired a lot and always there is a treasure from his experience that he shared. Sir 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚, the most deserving entrepreneur India has ever seen, is no longer with us. He wasn’t just a business leader, he shaped India with his humility, vision, and silent strength. Despite facing humiliation, he turned every 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 and always put 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬. Today, we mourn not just a man, but a 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. His wisdom, his grace, and his lessons will guide us for generations. He deserves the 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧'𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭, and I cannot find words strong enough to explain the deep loss. 𝐑 – 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, he faced challenges with grace and turned adversity into achievement. 𝐀 – 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜, always true to himself and his values, leading with humility. 𝐓 – 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥, shaping industries and uplifting India with his vision. 𝐀 – 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜, caring deeply about humanity and society, beyond just profits. 𝐍 – 𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞, in his character, actions, and dedication to India’s progress. 𝐓 – 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬, never giving up on his mission to improve lives. #democracy #power #leaders #leadership #english #books Democratic government can only satisfy the needs of a civilized society. We have been living in a civilized society for the past many centuries. The evolution of the society that has taken place till today has been marked by many key events each adding to the latest form of civilization we have achieved. India got the status of an independent country on 15th August 1947. That was the key moment of the beginning of a civilized country for India. Before that we were ruled by East India Company and before them by many Indian and Mughal rulers. That key moment that we had on 15th August 1947 led to the establishment of a sovereign India for the modern world. India is a relatively new country as compared to America. We are a 77-year-old democracy. We can say that we are only one generation old country for those who were born in the year we got independence. However, those who were born in independent India have two or three generations further. So, by that standard, we have not been a less achiever than other countries. Now, the pace of development is very fast and the technology innovation is very progressive. We must be participative in this quest for scientific innovation and technology development. We have all the resources. We must not lag and must contribute with our ideas and innovations. India is known for its peaceful and constructive policies which have always benefitted the entire world. We should not shirk and be more participative because it is only when we participate that we can assert our right and get a rightful place in the world and for the participation we must continue to innovate, contribute and work towards our excellence because with excellence we will be able to claim our right as an emerging power marching towards an established power. Therefore, we must shed our reluctance and pay heed to the overall development of our personalities and resultantly to a more powerful, resourceful and a healthier India. We can establish our claim as a powerful India by shedding our reluctance for not aiming for power, by getting rid of complacency to become powerful and by shunning all the timidness that stops us for the attainment of power. Power is not a word to be afraid of but it gives a sense of achievement and a sense of strength when the status of powerful is achieved through hard work to claim our rightful place as one of the all-resourceful countries on the earth. The insights shared by Dr. M. S. Sahoo and Dr. Ashish Makhija underscore the need for a system that allows easy entry and, equally important, a dignified exit. Expanding the IBC framework to cover proprietorships and partnerships will undoubtedly create a more inclusive and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem. Celebrating failure as a stepping stone to success is key to unlocking innovation and growth. Kudos to both authors for highlighting this crucial aspect of India’s economic potential.

Will India ever celebrate failure? Since independence, it has remained a mirage. Freedom to fail, the ultimate economic freedom, is enshrined as a fundamental right under Article 19(g) of the Constitution of India. Yet, for 170 million proprietorships and partnerships, which are the breeding grounds of entrepreneurship but are highly prone to failure, this freedom has remained elusive for decades. Despite the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, which was enacted in 2016 to grant them access to this crucial safety net, they remain excluded. While the legislature enacted the Code, the executive has yet to extend it to proprietorships and partnerships. This gap between legislative intent and executive action undermines the Code’s objective, ultimately foregoing economic growth that could result from embracing the freedom to fail. Dr. Ashish Makhija and I have explored this issue in detail in our article published today in Business Standard. #freedomfromfailure #freedomtofail #IBC #proprietorships #partnerships #entrepreneurship #IBC #individualInsolvency
