Excited to share ongoing progress of our NDIS Duplex under construction at Harmony on the Sunshine Coast. With solid suspended concrete construction to the first floor and a full steel skeleton structure, this certainly has its complexities in the front-end but once we get to enclosed stage, it will fly like a regular build. The project has been facilitated by Tim Gold and Gold Property Partners, with the project brought to life by the team at Apollo SDA who are industry leaders in SDA developments across Australia. CHENAB BRIDGE: LET US SALUTE OUR ENGRS, THE PLANNERS & THE EXECUTERS WHO TOILED HARD FOR 20 LONG YRS TO MAKE US ALL PROUD. Some quick interesting facts about the bridge: 1) Each side of this globally acclaimed structure measures approx 1/4th the size of a football fd. 2) 30,000 MT steel was used in constr of Chenab Rail Br. 3) Br was built at a cost of ₹14,000 Cr. 4) It is engineered to endure extreme conditions, incl temp as low as -40°C & seismic activity. 5) Additionally, it can withstand wind speeds of up to 260 km/h. 6) Dec 2004: Project was apvd by the then Govt. 7) Feb 2008: Wk Contracted. 8) Sep 2008: Project temp halted due safety concerns 9) Ph I: Covering 118 km Qazigund- Baramulla sec commenced in Oct 2009. 10) Operationalsation of the initial 18 km Banihal- Qazigund sec was done in June 2013 & the 25 km Udhampur-Katra sec was done in July 2014. 11) May 2019 was PDC (Planned Dt of Completion) 12) PDC was revised from May 2019 to Dec 2021. 13) Jan 22-Dec 2023: PDC kept getting revised due to various reasons. (Trial Run was conducted in 2023). 14) Feb 20, 2024: PM officially launched Udhampur- Srinagar- Baramulla Rail link Project (USBRL) project, encompassing 48.1 km Banihal -Sangaldan sec. 15) July 2024: is finally expected to open to rail tfc by July 2024. NOT TO FORGET: Those who deserve accolades are usually the "FORGOTTEN HEROES" while others who have access to media hog the limelight.

The February edition of Metal Construction News magazine features the 2024 State of the Industry report. It has insights from metal construction industry leaders including Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) general manager Tony Bouquot. In “A Robust and Active Industry,” Bouquot highlights some of the current actions within the metal building industry. He looks at the work being done by the MBMA, Metal Construction Association (MCA), STEEL DECK INSTITUTE (SDI) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) to take over the standards development that the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) is discontinuing.
